yeah i agree on the oatmeal part, those thing boost up quite a good amount of energy. Erm... how about ur post workout? any protein or milk for that?
U can get those caliper.. i think u can get it from ego from the curve if not mistaken. Sometime the machine wasnt that accurate due to water retention.
*
i only eat 2 boiled egg white and a slices of wholemeal bread before i start work out doh.gif
but i think my work out session is kinda intensive,10 mins warm up on treadmills,30 mins run on crosstrainer,30 mins cycling,2 set of circuit training, circuit training is the hardest session that i can undergo mega_shok.gif

You see as you build more muscle, your metabolism will increase proportionately....then your daily calory deficit is higher....increasing weight loss.....

and I think you shouldnt rely on the scale too much..48kg and 52kg are just numbers.....trust the mirror.......what matters the most is good health and at the same time look goods.
*
yea,i know the most matters is good health and look goods, number isnt that important,my fren said so unsure.gif
but my arms got lotta fats, the both side of my hip also sad.gif
i afraid if i build more muscle,my flesh will turn rigid and then i can never lose my arms and hip's fats already cry.gif
this is my current arms's picture sad.gif

haha your arms look fine ler...girls have more arm fat at the tricep area than boys for some reason, pretty normal. And NO muscle won't do such thing, dunno where you heard from, muscle will help burn calories and fat on their own.

Real life example: skinny guy vs big muscle man at the same height, who do you think burns more calories/fat and can eat more food everyday? easy answer.

I don't think girls can build muscle easily anyway, I'm a guy and I've been weightlifting trying so hard for the past 4 months but still can't see any visible muscle at all, rofl damn sad
*
har...its not fine for me ..my arms are fat cry.gif i know.
im an exception,i easy to gain muscle..i got much more androgen than normal female
i can do juz a lil light weight lifting and then back from gym,my arms will got BIG MUSCLE already rclxub.gif too bad.. sad.gif

QUOTE(myremi @ Apr 5 2009, 10:47 PM)
breakfast : drop the milo and take either low fat milk or plain water. 3-in-1 light has white sugar which is refined carbo. Your bread is wholemeal i hope or better yet, sugar free high grain.  For tuna, look for Ayam Brand, either the no salt version or the mineral water version. Don't take the oily one or the ones with mayo.
lunch : don't skip but control portion and fat + carbo intake. sushi may be fine but just be careful.
dinner : maggi mee is made out of yellow noodles = high carbo. change to complex carbo and add in some veggies + small amount of protein.

Eat veggies : there are some that will never let you put on weight  e.g. green leafy veggies.

http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/978436 : I wrote a post about portion control

Aerobics tend to help buiild cardiovascular and not so much toning. Strength training needs to be included - best to ask the guys that.

Actually, what is your weight currently? Because the further you are away from your target weight, the slower the rate of weight loss. And what is your BMI?

Added on April 5, 2009, 10:51 pm

My dear, you're only 18 lah. Of course you still have fat atm. I told you, wait until 21 when you finally stop growing lah.

haha, but i dont wanna wait u know,i wanna to achive and fulfil my whole figure transformation in this year doh.gif

Errr...to be honest, my parents started first before me. It started with my Mum's heart due to high cholesterol that weaken her heart. Then my Dad was diagnosed with mild hypertension and then had to have a bypass. They went saltless first and cooking at home and watching what they eat. So when I got it, they had relax a bit and I'm now more strict. Hahaha!

LOL! Actually, it's harder to lose weight when one is older. It doesn't go down that fast as when we were your age. Metabolism slows down. So we "comfort" ourselves.  laugh.gif

Added on April 6, 2009, 11:02 pm

Thanks. Although I will kinda stop after 2 years. Maybe. Everything I've done is like 2 years, then something else distracts me. Food blogging for 2 years (1st in Malaysia but never maintained after those 2 years). Then 2 years gaming. Then another year online gaming. Then another 3 years intensive online gaming. Then got hit by health problem so got into health.

So see what happens in 2 years lah... maybe no more active here. Kek!

me no stove at home la. can only eat raw, hahaha.
Hmm.... perhaps i ride my bike super duper fast and further distance, so I can burn more fats than normal (I think burn a lot more petrol) laugh.gif
I think 53kg is good for your height already. Now try to maintain your weight, by losing fats and building muscles.
I was once slimming down myself by controlling diet, but I feel painful (Taurus suka makan punya).
Somemore my metabolism decreased a lot after 3 months of diet. I gave up dieting already, slowly increase my calorie intake to increase metabolism.

I read from an article that, daily intake less than 1200Kcal for gal and 1500Kcal for guy will decrease metabolism. If a person eat like that for months, and later eat back the normal calorie intake, sure will get fat a lot faster than last time. Me wacko.gif after knewing...

Luckily I am able to make myself exercise more these days.

oh btw, our bday is 1 day difference only la ! Let's ganbatteh 2gether for our healthy bday wish !! biggrin.gif

this is HORRIBLE

i heard of these hearsay before,so should i eat back the normal calorie intake?but i scare my weight will rising up rapidly~ :shock
yea,our bday is 1 day dif only laugh.gif if i eat back like normal meal,i dont believe i can reach 50kg on my bday.. sleep.gif

Errr..kinda like no choice to find out about dieting lah.

If you haven't realized by now, I have high blood pressure. So had to relook how to diet, what diets are out there, comparing the different diets and looking up recipes for ideas. Eating a low salt diet is hard.

Today was mango pork. But no fresh mango so use some of the dried mango and poached the pork with the mango. No oil.

Everyday is something different and colourful in terms of veggie. Cooking 70 kcal burn. Washing dishes 80 kcal. I should maybe consider washing car - 100 kcal burn. wink.gif

Errr, not really. Just reading some stuff here and there.

I'm overweight so I've limited movements as well as activities that I can do. Not to mention that I had a prolapsed disc 9 years ago and now I have a damn muscle knot on my right thigh to get rid of.

It's not like "The Biggest Loser" where behind the scenes, there is a team of doctors to help out in case things go wrong. I've also gone on a lot of fad diets and remembered the effects. Diet pills too.

So far, I do 15 min on elliptical of varying resistance 2x-3x a week. Other days are some simple strength training but not as intense as the body builders. But daily morning stretches + back strengthening exercises for 15-20 min. Then cooking my lunch + breakfast which takes about 1 hr from preparation to final cooking to cleaning up the kitchen.

Seems to have work. 7 kg in 6 weeks.

Now you tell us. Bad gal. tongue.gif

Eat vegetable especially leafy green ones. There are some that are rich in iron e.g. spinach. They should fill up your stomach so that no aches.

And take supplements. Buy from pharmacy.

Oh, you can also sometimes eat wild rice/brown rice. You shouldn't be putting on weight ifyou control intake to 2 tablespoon a meal. Probalby lower calorie than your bread but it's more complex carbo in there. So less stomachaches.

Postnote : Do another research for anaemic and low blood pressure diet. You don't have to eat meat protein so check out other sources that will help you out.

oh, sad to hear that.
but you have a really effective weight lost. slightly more than 1 kg per week, thats good !
hahaha. Like that ar, after birthday only eat back like normal lo.

actually I have a trick to cheat body. I eat different Kcal everyday.
1st day 2200Kcal, 2nd day 1800Kcal, 3rd day 1600kcal, 4th day 2100Kcal ......

Average up got 2000Kcal la. Like that body can NEVER remember my pattern and eating habits, so it will always stay at 2000Kcal metabolism.

For you, I think your exercise program is damn good already. Just try to increase at least to 1200Kcal per day so that your metabolism won't drop further.

Cheers !
