copper need to be cooled actively.  smile.gif
I didn't put any fan there coz got no space with the CCF in place sweat.gif
But i do have the top large 140mm fan blowing cool air down on it which should do the trick.. i think sweat.gif

from d peekture those bga ram sinks looked a 'lil short. i'd prefer those w tall fins coz imo they better in heat dissipation. let's not forget copper is gud in absorbin heat but slow in releasin 'em, so in this case, i think passively cooled alu ram sinks w tall fins will do a better job than d short copper bga ram sinks which is also passively cooled. smile.gif

it'd be perfect if can find to mosfet coolers on old lp nf4 board... thumbup.gif

alu = absorb heat slow, ok in dissipate heat even passively cooled.
copper = gud in absorbin heat but need to actively cooled for optimal performance.

iirc actively cooled copper pwns actively cooled alu. nod.gif
