QUOTE(fergie1100 @ Jun 5 2009, 05:11 PM) Yo 2nd post QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Jun 5 2009, 05:12 PM) any IOICorp fans here? I think plantation stocks may face a flattish period. FCPO price is very low now. Been dropping, not following crude oil or soybean at all. Some of reasons is probably due to India imposing import duty (India big consumer of palm oil products). Will have to wait and see before sailang now.i've been observing it for weeks, it used to be a super active stock, now like dead fish, or too heavy to move?! hhmm. QUOTE(fergie1100 @ Jun 5 2009, 05:11 PM) Haha delete 29 alltogether la. What's this aka aka business This post has been edited by omores: Jun 5 2009, 05:18 PM |

agree with Neo18. market has been rallied from 8xx pts to 10xx pts in 3 months time. i am always being caution for any possible pullback, too, yet still need to know how to play along with the wave.
stock market is a piece of art. |

DJ futures pop up higher tonight.
US unemployment number claims for May is less than expected but total percentage has surged above 9.4%. Market look past unemployment numbers and surging ahead again. Very counter-intuitive. Oil pops above $70 now.. Oh well., it seems to be green again for this weekend. This post has been edited by danmooncake: Jun 5 2009, 08:41 PM |

Sooner or later, reality will kick in.. unemployment will need to be reduced for true economic growth. Market cannot go up all the way. I think this market now is a bit overbought. We will see another pullback soon. Time to prep up for short list for next week trade. Added on June 5, 2009, 9:19 pm QUOTE(moorish @ Jun 5 2009, 07:12 PM) Ha! QUOTE(mynewuser @ Jun 5 2009, 11:12 PM) Dear all, do this piece of news will improve any counter in our bursa? The reality of the fact is Malaysia is upbeat about China but China is not really upbeat about Malaysia.http://www.theedgemalaysia.com/business-ne...-says-musa.html IMO, China trades with Malaysia is minuscule compares to other countries. China investment in Malaysia is only about US135 million compared to Malaysia investment in China is about US1.4 billion. Yes, Malaysia needs China more than China needs Malaysia now. China investments in Malaysia brings few jobs whereas Malaysian companies investment in China brings more jobs over there. Only those multinationals profit more and they're keeping their money in China at the moment. Truth of the matter is Malaysia govt over all these years has been ignoring China and only until lately because of this economic down turn when US/Europe are not buying as much, Malaysia has no choice but to face the 800 pound gorilla in this neighborhood. Will this Gorilla notice or is he playing lip service to the new administration in Malaysia? Like others, Malaysia can join at the end of the line knocking at China door begging for investments and businesses. This post has been edited by danmooncake: Jun 6 2009, 12:23 AM |

Good post.IMO, China trades with Malaysia is minuscule compares to other countries. Like others, Malaysia can join at the end of the line knocking at China door begging for investments and businesses. But Najib didn't spend four days there - along with all his MCA/Gerakan coalition buddies and assorted hangers-on - for no reason. He was obviously on a sales trip. But - for what? O&G contracts? Automotive? If we could figure out his angle in this trip and identify the counter that may benefit we could make some moola. Sime, it ain't. IMHO. Najib is not dumb comercially: he's trying to place Malaysia between the Arab/Muslim/Islam world as a favoured cousin/investment destination but he also realises that the "800 pound" Panda to the North has everyone by the goolies - if it wants. Getting the scales to balance is the 'art' of politics. |

Weekend debrief:
Well, seems like DJ did end up a few points higher at Friday closing. But, NASD lost a few points.. but NASD still ends up higher this week due to the run up by Apple (AAPL). Good old AAPL, can't bet against this company - now that Steve Jobs is coming back. Oil did went up higher intially and cross over $70 mark but back down quickly. Mostly because USD didn't tank this time but remains in positive territory against the EU and GBP. Overall, I believe Oil still kinda high (closed above $68) with plenty of inventory at world market. IMO, this temporary surge in commodity Oil price won't last.. and we'll see a correction shortly. How's this will translate to commodity stocks for KLSE next week? Dunno yet.. KLSE usually have to wait until Tuesday (which I'm sure some people here hates) to seek further direction. |

STI is doing pretty ok. Bursa only up less than 30%. Some more people say too high odeli. Maybe they may want to depress the market to about 900 pts and buy This post has been edited by SKY 1809: Jun 6 2009, 11:28 AM |

Of course, people talking about the bears since 850 pts, the bear surely would come one day.
But some stocks odeli up 100% , since the repeating sayings ( of the bear market ) days in days out., and not getting tired ? Do not think of many opportunities you miss since the 850 pt days , than the bear you are always fearful of ? By the way, foreign ownership in Bursa listed cos is about 31% ( figure given by Bursa boss last week ). So cannot claim there is no FF in Malaysia. QUOTE(danmooncake @ Jun 6 2009, 12:08 AM) The reality of the fact is Malaysia is upbeat about China but China is not really upbeat about Malaysia. Very true indeed.IMO, China trades with Malaysia is minuscule compares to other countries. This northern giant panda is playing a very smart strategic chess game in world economy in particular access to scarce resources (not just natural resources). I read in TheStar Online about the acquisitions of Kurnia Setia by the shareholders http://biz.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?f...5&sec=businessp . What will the significant impact be on the share price?
If based from the report, it means that the shareholders plan to take the company private, just like what Ananda Krishnan did to Maxis, rite? So what do we do, assuming that we do not have any shares in the company yet, do we go in or do we stay in the sideline? And if we have the shares already, do we sell? If the selling price goes up to more than 2.45, would the offer price increase or still the same?

Don't think it will go higher. Based on it current price, not much vol also..
Last time when Maxis got offer to privatise.. its price close about 10 -15 sen cheaper from the offer price. But those who bought have to wait about 1 mths+ to get their money if accepting the cash offer. QUOTE(nujikabane @ Jun 6 2009, 08:36 PM) |

I hope the investor must be very careful espically in KLCI .. i have monitor the klci for a month , and why the klci go up is mainly the help of EPF injecting the fund into the market .. I dont believe we have strong foreign fund in the market .. Most probaly the foreign sharks all in HKG now , that why u see Hang Seng is doing very good ...
Dow Jones is putting the globe in a risk .. the US gomen printing too much money .. until the greenback is losing its stake against the euro, yen and even RM .. yesterday US umeployment reach the highest rate since 1983 ... and with the gomen keep bailing out financial company such as AIG .. that will putting the market into a defense mode .. So advice .. dont be too happy with the KLCI reaching above 1000 points .. monitor closely on the Oil Price .. and remember , the klci going up it is not because of economy recovery is because the EPF injecting fund into the blue chips .. check the bursa share holding changes and you know what I meant .. if you realise top 10 active counters you hardly see blue chips counter ... Why buy 2.40 if it will be taken private at 2.40 and delisted? which is the main reason. There is no incentive for people to buy more than 2.40 unless there are people view the privatisation price is too low and want to 'sapu' the stocks then reject the privatisation offer (which is unlikely especially in current market condition). By Edward Krudy NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks may get a lift next week as regulators are expected to name the first round of banks allowed to repay bailout funds. The move could feed hopes that the banking system is stabilizing further. But widespread skepticism over the sustainability of the recent rally from 12-year lows in March remains as bears keep looking for signs of economic weakness. The wild cards in the coming week include the jump in the price of oil, now near $70 per barrel, and the leap in U.S. Treasury bond yields, with the 10-year note's yield near 4 percent. Investors also will sift through a government report on May retail sales and data on consumer sentiment for clues about the state of mind of consumers, whose spending accounts for two-thirds of U.S. economic activity. "From the market's point of view, the repayment of TARP (bailouts) is a big positive in that it shows that private equity is available and capable of coming in and funding the banks," said Marc Pado, U.S. market strategist at Cantor Fitzgerald & Co, in San Francisco. But even though the repayment of money from the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program is seen as an important psychological step, there are also concerns that the banks may repay the money too soon while selective repayments may stigmatize some lenders. "The potential negative is that people start looking at it and saying these guys have been able to pay it back, but other people haven't," said Doug Roberts, chief investment strategist at Channel Capital Research in Shrewsbury, New Jersey. "There could be a concern that the government will have to go back in again." There is also concern that the repayment of TARP may rob the economy of money that could be lent to consumers and businesses. The S&P 500 index .SPX is up nearly 40 percent since a hitting a 12-year closing low on March 9, largely on hopes of an economic recovery. But indexes have drifted since early May as investors look for more catalysts to drive the market. In a historic turn of events on Wall Street, General Motors (GM.N)(GMGMQ.PK) and Citigroup (C.N) will lose their place in the blue-chip Dow industrial average .DJI on Monday, marking a fall from grace for two once venerable American corporations. SPOILER MAY BE OIL NEAR $70 Steadily rising oil prices have started to cause concern, with some investors worried that higher prices may put pressure on the all-important consumer, dampening the speed of a recovery. Crude futures jumped to a seven-month high above $70 a barrel on Friday before falling back to settle down 37 cents, or 0.5 percent, at $68.44 on the New York Mercantile Exchange. John Praveen, chief investment strategist at Prudential International Investments Advisers LLC in Newark, New Jersey, said that "when you are getting too close to the $70 range, you begin to wonder whether the rise in oil is going to start being a burden for the economy." Trends in oil prices will be a factor in Wednesday's report on the international trade deficit for April and Friday's data for May on import prices and export prices. The Federal Reserve's Beige Book, an anecdotal report from the Fed's 12 districts, will shed some light on the economy's health when it's released on Wednesday afternoon. WORRY OVER RISING BOND YIELDS Similarly, rising Treasury yields, which reached as high as 3.9 percent on Friday, marking the loftiest level in more than six months, are causing concern that consumers and businesses may face higher borrowing costs. Investors will watch the results of a 3-year note auction on Tuesday and a 10-year note auction on Wednesday to gauge investors' appetite for swallowing ever increasing government debt. "We have seen bond yields back up over the last couple of weeks and if they keep going up, there is growing concern that that could short-circuit the recovery," added Praveen. "If the recovery becomes questionable, then you might see a pullback in equities." Stocks finished the week with gains, with the Dow Jones industrial average .DJI up 3.1 percent, the Standard & Poor's 500 Index .SPX up 2.3 percent and the Nasdaq .IXIC up 4.2 percent. May retail sales, due on Thursday, are expected to show an increase of 0.5 percent including auto sales, compared with April's drop of 0.4 percent. Excluding auto sales, May retail sales are seen up 0.2 percent, compared with April's fall of 0.5 percent. A preliminary reading for June from the Reuters/University of Michigan consumer sentiment index is due on Friday. "Investors will continue to watch to see if economic data is improving," said Michael Sheldon, chief market strategist of RDM Financial in Westport, Connecticut. "The trend over the past few months has been encouraging, but there is still a long way ahead before we can say that the economy is growing, and it's growing on a sustained basis." So one's optimistic while the other's cautious.
I'm really on the fence. I want to go at least 80% in next week because scared of missing out on further rallies, but at the same time am worried that a correction could happen anytime. Sigh! |

QUOTE(YuNGSeNG @ Jun 7 2009, 11:41 PM) If margin, the brokerage is the shark. They'll still bite the borrower on interest. Anyway, since March.. we're already on the uptrend and little bulls are already running around. It is best to plan on going long instead of short term 'goreng'. QUOTE(MoonRider @ Jun 7 2009, 11:47 PM) Of course.. it will come down..But I don't think we will revisit lows in March anymore. Now, we're on Higher High, Higher Low trend. Every pullback is the opportunity to jump in and go long. Why? Because those hedge funds were sitting at the sidelines are going and when they go in.. stocks will pull up even higher. Don't miss the boat. This post has been edited by danmooncake: Jun 7 2009, 11:54 PM |

QUOTE(morpheuzneo @ Jun 7 2009, 02:11 AM) Hmm...I never took notice of this company until my remisier told me it didn up like the other property companies during the Apr KLCI climb. So beginning of May bought into it at 0.30. Then it rise to 0.34...I was hoping for higher, but due to greed only sold it for peanuts at 0.305. Luckily, cause after I sell, it never saw 0.3x again! After that I switch back to putting my $$$ into fundamental stocks. So did not focus on it anymore. Current price is quite low, 0.26, I think. I feel it more like a goreng stock, its size compared to other players like SPSetia is small. Not sure if you are interested in it as a long term holding or a goreng stock... Added on June 8, 2009, 12:56 am QUOTE(wirelessdude @ Jun 7 2009, 07:33 PM) 84% for me...includes KLSE, NYSE, Equity Mutual Funds & Amanah Already over load...I am near 30....Rule is 100%-(your age) as a guideline for equity. But it also really depends on your risk tolerance.. Added on June 8, 2009, 1:05 am QUOTE(kmarc @ Jun 7 2009, 10:20 PM) Sold off most of my stocks except for Uchitec, Qcapita, Hektar and TM...... mainly for long-term investment.... Uchitec has been good to me so far. I bought at low prices, sold it when about 60% returns. Then bought it back to sell at 1.39. That was during the Apr KLCI run-up. And then bought it back for average price 1.25. Switch mode from trading to holding long term. The 6sen div still yet to ex. I also holding on to TM too. Added on June 8, 2009, 1:13 am QUOTE(wirelessdude @ Jun 7 2009, 10:08 PM) So one's optimistic while the other's cautious. Buy when there is a pull back, a reasonable drop on the price of the counter of your choice. I aimed Maybulk and Resorts last week. When Resorts was red at 2.6x range, I went in. Now its 2.86. And Maybulk dropped to 3.2x and I went in also. But make sure do quick research before you buy. Check LYN for latest news, Bursa for any announcements, Star Biz and The Edge. Maybe the company really chap lap.... I'm really on the fence. I want to go at least 80% in next week because scared of missing out on further rallies, but at the same time am worried that a correction could happen anytime. Sigh! Unless you are going for the goreng trade, then your picks need to be more careful. I don't know which ones are good now though. I made $$$ from MKLand, Tebrau, E&O, YTLe...Basically back in Apr & May, just shoot blindly you'll make it. Now not sure. There was another post that mentioned, Keuro, Johan, etc. This post has been edited by VyvernS: Jun 8 2009, 01:13 AM |

KURNIA will be delist soon. Kurnia will make a capital repayment
to all its shareholders at MYR2.40. So if we buy now @ 2.35. Means confirm we will earn 0.05 right? |

QUOTE(mynewuser @ Jun 8 2009, 10:52 AM) KURNIA will be delist soon. Kurnia will make a capital repayment 90% chance.to all its shareholders at MYR2.40. So if we buy now @ 2.35. Means confirm we will earn 0.05 right? Sometimes privatisation could fall apart, it is not a 100% must (happened before), if there are some issues in between, like the buyers fails to secure financing, or buyers drop the privatisation intention due to xyz reason. or shareholders of Kurnia rejected the deal. Also it takes months time to be completed generally range from 2-4 months time. |

Hai today is such an irritating day. First, I didn't short FKLI. Watched it go down from 1082 down to 1072. Then when DOW and Shanghai looks better, I q buy at 1073 when current price is 1073.5. And didn't get, flew up to 1077.
AIYO, miss on two sides. So far, opportunity loss abt RM6-7k. This post has been edited by omores: Jun 8 2009, 11:01 AM |

QUOTE(sampool @ Jun 8 2009, 01:26 PM) during that time, rm1 may become rm3. but in FD/waswasan, rm1 become rm1.16 after 2 years. Ha, ha, to be frank. Though my experience, don't underestimate FD's compound interest. I gave you an example, I worked in Singapore and returned to Malaysia about 15 years ago. I thought Singapore Telecom was good. Hence, I took out my CPF (since I cannot withdraw it until I am 65) and put into Singapore Telecom and UOB Growth Fund. The IPO for Singapore Telecom was S$3.60. For the past 15 years, it hit the peak of S$4 something once. And, it is around 2.9 or below 3 now. For the UOB Growth Fund, at peak, it was 2x my capital. It is now, only about 20% higher. For 15 years and bluechips in Singapore.Added on June 8, 2009, 12:30 pm yes, u are right, always to some back up $$. actually, if rm1 can become rm2 in a year, if u good in involved biz and rm1 can become rm5, believe me. all tis come with exp, but if u dun hv any trend is ur guidance. So, as far as I look into it, an investment strategy must have balanced strategies. When the time is right, exit from stock market and flee. When it drops to bottom, then come back. And, this sort of cycles only happens every 10 years! |

QUOTE(MoonRider @ Jun 8 2009, 01:19 PM) KIKI .. u better get another dog name LALA .... Its is about dogs that used by US Army during Vietname war ... after the war finished , all the dogs cannot bring back to US and need to be bang bang (killed) ... Each war dogs has a guardian (army) to instruct them to do things like , helping injured army , detect enemies , detect bombs and so on .. They interview one of the guardian , saying his dog rescues more than 20 soldiers during the war .. when a soldier injured , the dog will never think twice and just go straight to drag the soldier back to safety place ..... the dog doesnt request for money or good living .. all they want is to server his master and meal .. and in the end , what the dog gets is killed by their own master because these dogs cannot be send back to US and cannot let them alive due to the dog is trained by US army .. Also few other stories .. where the dog detect a bomb and get killed to save his master Calling remisier to buy stocks .. thought this service is used by older generation uncle and auntie .. |

QUOTE(aeronic @ Jun 8 2009, 12:12 PM) why measat shares not dropping back after the denial? We can't stop people from believing, as who knows miracle happening. (just like hitting jackpot, we know we can't hit jackpot when going to casino, but still playing on one word, hope) people still confident the maxis rumour will be true? It take awhile (months) before people finally accept the fact. As some might already stuck, so become long term investors, so no selling, no drop. After all, this stock is badly hit previously, so it is still considered hovering at low level, even though limit up previously. (It was a RM3-4 stock previously) No offence, the issue might be true it might be false. More people believe it could be true so price goes up, that's the basic of supply and demand, Previously, Iris can stand at 1.00+ for months up to half year or so before plunging just based on purely goreng. Anything can happen in the market. Don't underestimate the power of anchovies or ants when come in herd. Currently market bulllish tone partly is come of herd of anchovies. |

QUOTE(sampool @ Jun 8 2009, 12:49 PM) anything can happen, again we are not controlled the company. they can play themself. but we ikan bilis will suffer later. I hope one day i can control the market instead My peers told me that M'sia tends to go against the actual market flow, where other countries dropping, M'sia's are rising. Those huge companies keep on pushing to the limit and creat an illusion, catching ikan bilis like us to invest money. I don't mind become ikan bilis for this time, as long as can earn something. I just wonder when would the best possibility it drops again. Of course there's some dare devils out there who scopped a lot $$ during this time. (Higher risk = higher return). I've spoken to 1 of my friend working as financial analyst for oversea country, which he had also agreed that its too risky for small investor to enter into the market. (Current issues: AH1N1, S.Korea Nuclear issue, GM, etc.) Although we may seems to be indipendant from others stock market but as a 3rd world country, we are so much depending on export. KLCI is highly under EPF .. there is not much foreign investor pulling into KLCI .. the index up thanks to EPF .. year goes by our EPF divident is damn low every year .. PS: Moorish is the dare devil here, who earn a lot during this time~ I will expect another big rally on stocks before end of the year .. after that Market will collapsed worst than 2008 .. US is not heading anywhere .. they keep printing greenback due to bailout .. you can see greenback values is decreasing and european and asia have the intention to kick out greenback as trading $$$ .. they wil lreplace with yen/rmb/euro ... That the reason I am investing some of my portfolio to Hang Seng and STI .. China will soon becoming the giant for ASIA replacing Japan .. I have kept Aussie dolar since year 2008 during it drop to 2.3 against RM .. as I dont have faith in Malaysia economy .. Malaysia we dont have a great finance minister .. so far any good news you heard .. all bad news .. and how much you trust the media reporting the economy status .. |

QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Jun 8 2009, 02:42 PM) noticed that plantation has been quiet for a week or so. Most plantation investors on a wait and see attitude for plantation. There are some issues that may nt be good for plantation stocks.O&G is leading all the way, thanks to the spurring of crude oil. so my next bet is, plantation maybe? |

QUOTE(mynewuser @ Jun 8 2009, 02:44 PM) Got hit by bad financial year ended 31/3/09. They made some big losses due to exposure to the middle east and the cost of projects skyrocketed due to"adverse weather conditions, escalating raw material prices and other unforseen circumstances". Things to take positively though, 1. EPF has been consistently supporting it at this level and now has acquired up to 12+% in the company. 2. Construction stock that is looking to rebound after the recession if you believe the construction industry will recover their way after this point on. 3. Zelan has a great order book to continue making money as usual for them prior to them as they have great expertise plus the cost of the raw materials are stabilized now. So conclusion you should buy if you see a good recovery.. |

Not true, unless you are indisciplined and reckless.
There's a strategy called stop loss. This post has been edited by AdamG1981: Jun 8 2009, 03:06 PM |

Yup, should long now mah. Buy on the dips. Just because usd strengthen and investors sell off commodity stocks doesnt mean we should also short mah.
Besides base on the daily chart for eu, gu and au, usd is now very overbought. |

QUOTE(AdamG1981 @ Jun 8 2009, 04:32 PM) actually can also save some bullets for tomorrow morning. The market is going to close at lowest price of the day, so next morning the market will also go few more points lower than today's market closing price. QUOTE(AdamG1981 @ Jun 8 2009, 05:16 PM) Well, doesn't seem to have any bad economic news so far. All that was between last week to 2 weeks ago, yet market was on steam engine puffing up and up. Today dip overseas seems to be due to profit taking, fear from over-rally, airline losses in europe and china, London's political problems.Malaysia still got same news and EPF is still around. I'm still not too worried. No major announcements from the US to be made to tip the scales (except for what Fed Reserves going to do). China left to do announcements, and usually data is good from that side. Still got at least a couple to 3 weeks of rally ahead of us. QUOTE(viper88 @ Jun 7 2009, 04:37 PM) http://www.reuters.com/article/hotStocksNe...E55507020090606 bringing up this post by viper88.By Edward Krudy NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks may get a lift next week as regulators are expected to name the first round of banks allowed to repay bailout funds. "The trend over the past few months has been encouraging, but there is still a long way ahead before we can say that the economy is growing, and it's growing on a sustained basis." some highlights for this week. trade with caution, better. |

I already got Sealink previously. So, I didn't get more today. Personally, I think Sealink is a good company. Should be able to hold for few years.

Similar pattern from around 0.63 sen up till 0.70..... followed up by a big burst shoot up to 0.91? http://biz.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?f...30&sec=business |

QUOTE(omores @ Jun 8 2009, 05:26 PM) Well, doesn't seem to have any bad economic news so far. All that was between last week to 2 weeks ago, yet market was on steam engine puffing up and up. Today dip overseas seems to be due to profit taking, fear from over-rally, airline losses in europe and china, London's political problems. Buying opportunity next week? I feel market is looking for any good excuse to tank. It has gone up for sometime now. Any bad news coming out of US economic data next week will do the job. Trade with caution in the coming days or week.Malaysia still got same news and EPF is still around. I'm still not too worried. No major announcements from the US to be made to tip the scales (except for what Fed Reserves going to do). China left to do announcements, and usually data is good from that side. Still got at least a couple to 3 weeks of rally ahead of us. Added on June 8, 2009, 5:27 pm Thats old news dee. |

Yes which is why its been repeated time and time again that everyone should look into proper stocks if they need to buy something due to itchy fingers. Goreng stocks will be first to go. Blue chip will be last to drop. Or at least % drop would not be much. Low P/E stocks will also drop less compared to high P/E stocks. Some sectors will go better than others. I think everyone has been warned many a times. Trade at your own risks. If this is indeed the correction I've been waiting for (which I still don't think so), we will look at 2 weeks of dip at least. If worse than expected, then expect an additional week of dip. That doesn't mean you shud wait for bottom, buy when you are comfortable the the price. Dow is down 8,642.21 -120.92 (-1.38%) |

At some point the rally will need to take a breather and it has been long overdue.
I have long switched to some of the stocks for dividend and also some growth. We won't know when the correction will come and it probably will not drive down the indices to <8,000 at DJIA or <900 for KLCI. There will be a flurry of economic news and data this week. If, and that is a big IF, they are good, we are still looking at continued rally. Today the Dow may be down some 150 points....Tomorrow can be up 200 plus and still end the week up as it has been doing the last few weeks. Or it can just drop the next 200-400 points this week. IMHO, I still believe the rally will go on this week, DJ will take a short break today and tomorrow. I suspect the economic reading will be better than expected, especially on the inventory data since there were indication that inventory was starting to be used up. Today just a short break. |

Knowing Dow, it might even close at green. I remember doing a countdown once at 3.40 am. It was down 40-60 pts. Then last 10 minutes shoot up to 100pts. This Dow worse than KLCI. Really cannot bank hope on. Hahahhaa.

Some day, a n00b will come up with a super duper n00b question of epic proportion. The n00b is me, and the question is :
The price quoted is for 1unit of shares, right? i.e Talam price at the moment is 0.115, so 0.115 is the price for 1 unit, no ? But the minimum amount of shares that can be bought per transaction is for 1 lot, so it comes to 0.115 x 1000 units = RM115 (not including brokerage and other charges) , correct ? Or is it 100 units ? So when keying to buy shares, do we assume per lot is 100 or 1000 ? |

QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Jun 8 2009, 04:54 PM) Sealink 0.785, naice. okok...roger that this morning was 0.820. yeah, followed chyaw's recommendation, but provided you have the holding power + loads of patience, which is something alot of newbies lack of. (i used to be one, too, even now, sigh) bonus side, a 4 sens TE dividend is on your way. |
