I think the main problem with Transformers 2 is that it tried to be bigger than itself but it was way too grand even for Michael Bay. I love his works honestly, I think he's awesome when it comes to popcorn Hollywood action movies but this one was too big for him to handle. It seemed that there wasn't a real effort in putting a movie sequel. All that was going through Bay's mind was "insert more action, more robots, more humor, I'm set!" Do they really expect us appreciate the "humor" the robots suddenly possess? I didn't know they could speak in accents and hump! Action scenes were way too messy, getting more robots into fights is not the solution Mr. Bay. And my, the script was awful and Sam's entourage seemed to possess this amazing ability to elude falling rocks and debris. Don't get me started with the ridiculous plot. It's almost the same faults I find with the first movie, only worse. I still enjoyed the movie nonetheless, there were some redeeming scenes and there was Megan Fox, nuff said.

7/10 for me.The CGI is awesome. Most of the fight scene are awesome.

The problems are:
-Too many pointless scenes at the beginning.
-No introduction for Jolt and Sideswipe.Sideswipe is one of my favourite new chracter.Cant see him much.
-Sideways and Devastator just die like that.No introduction for Grindor or Constructicons.
-Jolt didnt even say a word or see him killing anything. So Jolt is there to promote Chevy Volt????
-Feels too rushed in the end
-Plot holes are everywhere.

I hope Bay will slow down his pace a little bit... and keep up the momentum just like TF1

When i first watched the Transformer - the cartoon version, Autobots almost always win in the end... but never as kickass as then in the movie version... Action-wise it was ok...

But there is not robot's character development in the TF2 and you hardly know who is who.... Take out all those redundant human characters like Leo and less time to the Sam's parent (esp the non-essential hostage plot) and give time to introducing the robots... I would love to see more times to robots transforming to their vehicle mode...

Bay obviously didn't know what he wanted with this sequel. He didn't focused on the robots, i think he didn't bother in the first place. What he did with the human characters were ok though, I like the parents' scenes but the hostage part was really laughable.

Spielberg wants this whole trilogy to be about Sam and Bumblebee (a boy and his car)

so from there,we can pretty much figure out how unimportant the transformers are in these movies tongue.gif

I felt like I was watching Matrix:Reloaded again. Tried to be cool by adding in lots of computer graphics, and in the end failed to follow the spirit of the original movie.

Overall still a good movie, but with so many frustration points that most have pointed out. I'll just sum up my feeling with the following:

Devastator has balls.

I think Starscream is the best thing in the whole movie. He is the only one that stays true to the 80s classic cartoon. When Megatron returned and slammed Starscream into the hatchlings, it really did remind me of the original cartoon biggrin.gif

Sari and Bumblebee are tonnes better. In fact story wise 1 hour of TFA episode (Transwarped)>>> 2 TFmovies.

Yeah, and this movie is even messed up than Spiderman 3.It's more like the problem with redundant scenes like the parents one, pretender,Leo etc while Spiderman 3's problem is there is not enough time for proper introduction.Too much were cut, from what i heard.
