The problem with some brainless viewers is that they lack the taste to see how utterly shitty the execution of the whole idea is.
*
Which doesnt change the fact that they are NOT brainless Tincans/robots. Some brainless viewers should just stay off touching Transformers as the whole idea is not an award winning movie. The whole idea is a robots pwn robots movie, who cares about storyline. In the end, its robots pwning robots again regardless its shitty or not.

To those with taste, please dont be the first idiots to go rushing over and watch the 3rd movie and end up whinning that this is not the Transformers i used to watch when i was 3yrs old.

Wow....I never knew ppl. watching TF2 got that many questions to ask..Since I'm not a fan of Transformers....I never expected a decent storyline, or too much logical stuff...I just saw it for the action...and Bay delivered it well..yeah, some scenes are questionable...but all in all...its one of the best pop corn flick this year for me smile.gif ...only thing is I'm pissed off with TGV for cutting 15mins off the show for advertisements and schedulings
*
GSC is da best, but i watched first time at TGV Cheras Selatan. The TGV there did not cut anything since i rewatched at GSC again lol...

Reaching Critical Mess
As Blockbuster, 'Transformers' Spotlights Chasm Between Rabid Audience and Savage Reviewers

By Dan Zak
Washington Post Staff Writer
Wednesday, July 1, 2009

The critics spoke last Friday. "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" is a Hindenberg of a movie.

The audience responded: So freakin' what? They forked over $215 million (and counting) to see the widely panned sequel about shape-shifting robots. It became only the second movie after last year's "The Dark Knight" to make that much in its first five days. "Transformers 2" was director Michael Bay's worst-reviewed movie -- worse than 2001's "Pearl Harbor."

"A horrible experience of unbearable length," wrote Roger Ebert in the Chicago Sun-Times.

"Striking, shrieking incoherence," wrote Peter Travers in Rolling Stone.

"I think they reviewed the wrong movie," Bay told the Los Angeles Times. Critics "just don't understand the movie and its audience. It's silly fun. I am convinced that they are born with the anti-fun gene."

Not that it matters, though. For decades, summer blockbusters have vacuumed up people's money in spite of how bad the reviews are.

"Critics don't affect the box office," says Brandon Gray, president of Box Office Mojo. "The bottom line is it's about the premise of the movies and how they're marketed. 'Transformers' is assembled in a way to appeal to as many people as possible. It has all the scenes and plot devices -- well, not plot, actually -- that worked in the past."

I am not a fan, but i still think the story is very weak being told in a movie way.
I dont mind more human, but the progression was too unbelievable.
A lot of time, i fail to laugh at the humour, then a lot of time, i would go like "Like that also can?"
I mean, there is some extend that how story can be just like that, but in transformer and excepted from bay, this is way not up to standard at all.

Again, just personal opinion, not a fact, so is all up to you, i just feel the movie can be better being told in a different way. Just too bad

Well, even they admit that the plot or story is nothing to shout about on. All they wanna market is the actions and CGi for this time on.

You really don't get it do you? Its not at all about how 'true' it is to so and so generation or version or whatever. Its just that as a movie, as a piece of entertainment, as a piece of DUMB summer entertainment, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen f***ing sucks! Now, if I were a fan of the franchise, and I see it being packaged in a piece of filmmaking which just f***ing sucks, I would be absolutely livid, instead of just pissed that I spent money on a pure shit movie as a normal moviegoer. The Star Wars fans hated the prequels, and ROTF is at the very least 10 times worse than Attack of the Clones. Now, is the only possible explanation that the majority of Transformers fans are just....stupid?
*
Point taken, this is a suck movie. But you are not a fan and please dont speculate as a fan do. Doing this will make you more eh...stupid ? Well all i see is critics bashing every corner of the movie with what so ever tiny reasons. And fans are nowhere to be seen started bashing articles on this TF movie unlike in one of the examples you have imposed on StarWars Fans.

"I think they reviewed the wrong movie," Bay told the Los Angeles Times. Critics "just don't understand the movie and its audience. It's silly fun. I am convinced that they are born with the anti-fun gene."

'Transformers': Worst-reviewed $400 million hit?
By DAVID GERMAIN
AP MOVIE WRITER

Critics and mainstream crowds often disagree, but "Revenge of the Fallen" sets a new standard for the gulf between what reviewers and mass audiences like.

The movie pulled in $200.1 million since opening Wednesday, the second-best result for a movie in its first five days, just behind "The Dark Knight" with $203.8 million. Even after its whopping $60.6 million opening day, "Revenge of the Fallen" was packing theaters, a sign that unlike critics, who mostly hated the movie, audiences felt they were getting their money's worth and were giving the flick good word of mouth.

Critics "forget what the goal of the movie was. The goal of the movie is to entertain and have fun," said Rob Moore, vice chairman of Paramount, which is distributing "Transformers" for DreamWorks. "What the audience tells us is, `We couldn't be more entertained and having more fun.' They kind of roll their eyes at the critics and say, `You have no idea what you're talking about.'"

According to Paramount's exit polls, 91 percent of the audience thought the sequel was as good as or better than the first "Transformers," which received far better reviews.

Lol. Pretenders are transformers that disguise as humans instead of as a automobile. Hence the similarities with Terminators. As long its a robot with some inteligence then it can be a Transformers lol. icon_rolleyes.gif

*
Prolly due to the Terminator Movie just aired not long ... audience still lingered to Terminator lol... no big deal since she transformed into it's original form which resembled other decepticons profile... and still got some sort of hair on it in her ori form lol .. The Pretender actually scanned the barbie doll at a shop lol ..

They are making money by doing the prequel and inter stories in the Transformers 2009 novels and comics. All those not in movie is explained in the novels. But its alright, at least there is Megan Fox and robot fightings to coverup lol..

Read my last sentence in the post you quoted again. wink.gif My. Point. Exactly. tongue.gif

And its not 'tiny' reasons this movie is getting bashed for.

And do you really have to resort to quoting Bay to defend a movie? Gosh.
There is nothing to defend, it's Bay's own words is the most straightforward implimentation. The main points being bashed is reasonable with cappy and loose plots and etc. But refering some bashing articles much tiny reasons are shown like, why is Mikaela's pants are white all the time lol, how the cars move around with no ppl inside when in the opening they showed holograms on the 3 bikes.

Bay wanted to do his version of the TX since it suck so much in Terminator 3. And since Transformers has the Pretenders, why not include it as well in TF2. So he got his chance.
Actually, Bay did a good job with the TX..err..Pretenders...so now Terminator fans will want him to direct the rest of the Terminator movies instead of McG.
Since Terminator movie storyline got no where else to go except to destroy all of Skylet, lets do it the Bay style.

Actually the Pretender reminds me of Species too hehe ..

yeah..why so serious...movies meant to be entertain...even is stupidity or worst...it still fulfill its destiny...i still love the lame toilet joke...especially the guy face...seeing the guy face i wanna laugh adi...well..cant compare a 2 hours++ movies with long series of cartoon la....
Yup true enough. It serves its purpose to entertain when majority is laughing while maybe some minority was too inteligent to comprehend with the jokes or humours. Well i do notice this in every movie i watched in cinema, there must be a group of inteligent beings that do not laugh. shocking.gif

To me, when i get into the cinema for a movie i will be in relax mode and make the complex thinking after the movie. Just enjoy the whole movie since i am paying for it. Why getting angry packaged with the rm10-12 movie? Already had enough pressure during my work and cinema time is to relax and popcorn time. Even the movie gets boring, i'll just sleep lol.. laugh.gif

eh it was not too bad though they look like humans wearing helmets hehe, liked the darker adaptation by DWP and IDW. They expand more on the TF mythos. But i really despise the Marvel adaptation that included G.i. Joe and spidey in it,not that i dont like the characters but the crossover didnt really appeal to me.
*
The crossovers was abit dissapointing. The only thing that made me continue with it is because the designs on the mechas and transformers. Sure hope they stop these crossovers once for all.

Low quality audience deserve low quality movie/humor.

Its not we're too intelligent. If this is Stephen Chow movie, I might laugh. But this is serious movie. Serious movie humor must be
intelligent. We're not watching slapstick movie from Stephen Chow. Sometimes, Stephen Chow humor is more intelligent.
*
Yup, majority are low quality audience then since you rated it in that way. As long it entertains then it would be ok for me. The jokes are over the bucket, but much of it i find it funny and laughed.

Try rewatching the cartoon and you will find more stupid jokes in there that make you wanna throw ur PC lol ... laugh.gif

Well to think of it, lets say i take Stephen Chow's movie as serious movie. It will be a stupid movie to me while i watch it in that mentality.

There is never a problem with comparing jokes between TF1 and TF2, it doesnt matter if which is better but the problem i see here is you are forcing ur standards to others when normal viewers find it acceptable and enjoyable to have a laugh. And rating majority as low quality audiences just because it insults your intelligent for some joke make yourself not much difference as a joke.

This is where you are qualified to be one of the low quality audiences as proclaimed by the highly intelligent audiences that cant laugh abit as its a super serious movie. doh.gif
