Im still thinking bout to mod the clutch housing to 1.8 as u say will compromise power i have also tought of that.Im just afraid that the engineering shop dono how much to lighten. Usually if use adjustable cam pulley to shift the powerband to lower rpm region i need to retard the cam izit? Btw my gen2 is not a CPS its the early 2004 model campro.

Bro for your CPS is 10w 30 specs la 

as i know that ur cps system function optimally with 10w 30 oil if the oil 2 thick is hard for lub pressure to actuate the plunger in the hydraulic bucket tappets.

I'm not so sure about CPS, but if the plunger was operated based on oil pressure, then the 10w50 gives better pressure compare to 10w30. By installing a fuel pressure meter u able to see 10w30 drops pretty much when it's hot compare to 10w50.

I'm using 10w40 on my Mivec and 10w30 sometimes give me problem with the mivec engaging point.

dats why CPS has a oil cooler to keep the oil in optimal temp,i guess mivec has no oil cooler ,the oil galleries in the cps bucket tappet is quite small so i guess thicker viscosity will affect the cps operation. Trust me bro i have many customers who serviced at branches and then come n complaint that the engine feels sluggish after service. I know many SC dont keep stock of 10w 30.

1 question whats the max speed can ur CPS push?

I tought that CPS have capability to push over 200km/h i guess the final drive is slowing u down for higher top speed. Yesterday tested my old aged campro achieved slightly over 200km/h maybe around 208km/h just only mod the headers midbox and mufflers. Wat mods have u done?

ur not revving enough bro CPS rev cut at 7.5 rpm,as i know from proton that specs that all CPS engines are equipped with a new gearbox model actually its the same model that is used in the mivec engines,i cant remember the model code,the final drive ratio is big its designed that way to improve the low end performance likewise my gen2 has a smaller final drive where i experience sluggish low end performance but good high end performance.

My 4th gear max speed is 190km/h its around 6krpm++, when shift to 5th gear need some time to get 200km/h slight downhill can get 210km/h.

Most CPS engines actuate the high lobe cam at 3.8krpm unlike Satria Neo CPS which actuate high lob cam at 4.8krpm.

if im not mistaken i drove a gen2 cps rev cut at 7.5krpm i could be wrong.

din know that bro,actually CPS uses same technology as porsche variocam,so oil viscosity need to be stable when running high temp.

it's not the ecu... its the gay 5th gear ratio...

hi all, i juz sold my gen2 cps rims n tires. now im using 205/50/16. if i lowered my car, say im usring r3 springs, will there be any modifications needed? or my tire spec can fit with lowered spring just nice.

i am concern because it is 50 and not 45.

why not make a new one with all the latest mods  done?

R3 gen2 mme is using 195/50/16 conti sports contact 1 <-- same tyres as neo 1.6 and cps which is quite gay for grip...

ooo.. Me use 205/45/17 dunlop d01.. Wanna change to conti 215/45/17.. conti sport contact 1 is rm280 and sport contact 2 is rm300.. So will consider conti sport contact 2 lah... Because already change back to stock spring, floating is back again... Just asking for michelin prada, it cost rm480.. huhu...

There is someone (id86 if not mistaken) in the garaje sales selling the r3 springs. He pm me the price for r3 spring is rm220.. he also sell other spring..

Actually wanna ask at gen2 tread, but not really know forumer there.. So I ask here.. How can gen2 easily burn when accident occur? Me curious bcos driving gen2 too. I know that can happen to any car.. but ... Don't know what word to type...

We happy that can mod our car to satisfied our need (top speed, pickup, look, entertainment), but at safety side maybe we forgot...

Guys...i had a hard drive this afternoon...after i stop my car and pulled out the car key...the radiator fan is still running (after a few minutesnot a few second it stop by itself)...anyone had this kind of situation before?

anyway, i would think upgrading the springs will be a better choice for us waja users. i also feel my waja spring are too soft for cornering. even my wira can do and handle better. i myself is looking for a set of normal uprated spring. probably gab in future and also looking at bringing the tyres down to 55 or 50 series to get that decent performance level.

the reality is, you will like the harsh ride for a few months. after tat, u'd wish to go back to stock comfort levels... hehehe.. i'm trying not to poison myself into going down that road (spring + rims + tyres change). however, the poison is strong in this one... hahaha..

follow the recommended 10-30w engine oil. can get 5-30w would be better i think. i'm trying to find 5-30w but very hard around here. might go for motul 5-30w ones.. hehe

my waja cps just reach 1070km, booked 1st service on next monday. But today i found out that my car is not able to exceed 100km/h although I have pressing the oil paddle until end.

Can you guys tell me what happen to my car?? I'm worry.........

Just tested gen2 cps auto speed, almost 190 km/h. I believe can go further if the road is clear & straight

I don't know about other's, for me once the speedo meter become turtle that's my top speed. I'm not going to whack 3-5 mins or waiting for downhill to record my top speed.
