or u could send an email to valve to tell them to port all 5 maps to l4d2 so we can have 9 maps
im planning to do that, later.

but how can u not like it? parish ending is fun, hard rain has it thunderous wonders, dead center have the best starting level and swamp fever is just amazing

+new zombies are awesome jockeys, chargah and spittah all awesome and fun to use

I think u both didnt see the big picture here

The reason you need to type the command is to "force" search ONLY Eclub server.
Even with the best dedicated server you can still end up in france server (even some eclub server are empty).
Solo join wont work (join using ip), coz the server will kick your arse out

I still blame valve for consolish game lobby hosting

@Edison83: Cyprinze was recommending ppl to add to our MBT L4D2 server, not eclub's. Joining by ip works, unless it's full, but of coz if u had added the ip to xfire's fav list then u'd see who and how many ppl are playing on the server currently. In fact joining by xfire is made even simpler, u'd just click on the fav server and straight join into the game. No more pesky console commands and more waiting. See the bigger picture here?

the best thing to do is to download xfire
sign up then put in all your fav server into the xfire fav server list
then when you want to play, refresh your fav server list
then join into the preferred server

people have been doing this for donkey years edi..

Entering a short command into the console before starting a lobby doesn't take more than 5 secs to do. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to type in a simple command as sv_search_key eclub. The beauty about this is that Eclub servers can play any sort of mode so long as you juz type the commands before starting a lobby. However, I'm not so sure if it applies the same to MBT server.

Well I agree with JuzJoe that EClub servers cater for any sort of mode (well EClub has several servers and MBT server is just one ). MBT server is only for versus mode but its populated most of the time (though most of them are Singaporeans, Japanese and Taiwanese). So its a good alternative if you are looking for versus game and EClub versus servers are empty.

Or you could just add it to the startup config file (Forgot whatsitcalled) or command line if even THAT is too annoying to do

Jockey can ride survivor off cliff or building edges - killing or incap instantly
Spitter can do tonnes of damages if spitted correctly. Time & place is very useful!

btw MBT server is 24/7 versus mode.

create a text file named autoexec.cfg in the existing \cfg\ folder and put all your configs/bindings there.

Spitter does tons of damage in a very short period and occasionally stops opposing players from filling in any gas in scavenger mode. Charger and hunter is probably my favourite as they have the most brutal animation when you successful pin a survivor down.
