Hi. I've confirmed my place in UNITEN for the June intake and am now faced with a really difficult situation. I have yet to print the confirmation letter and E-booklet and when I wanted to do so just now I could not log in to the "Apply Now" page because it is stated that application is closed. How am I supposed to print those documents now?
And the E-booklet must be submitted during registration day! Help!! |

QUOTE(exentric_nova @ Jun 2 2009, 10:57 AM) What to do? Have to secure a place in case public university doesn't want me, hence the RM500. I think hsienhsien is also doing so. I'd love to go to UNITEN compared to public university actually, but have to spend more $$. |

QUOTE(he-sham @ Jun 2 2009, 11:27 AM) ISFJ, i suggest u go to uniten...the environment much better than IPTA... but u must ready rm6k at least for tuition fees every sem for engineering undergraduate la... I want to go to UNITEN. I'm hoping to get full loan from PTPTN if I go there. But if IPTA accepts me then maybe I'll go since it'll save my parents a lot of money.if u have car, student life in uniten shouldn't be a problem... I won't get to drive in university, not allowed to do so by my parents |

QUOTE(he-sham @ Jun 2 2009, 11:56 AM) hmmm..if only 1 of your parent working & u have many siblings, the possibility to get full loan is quite high... Only my dad is working, my mum is a housewife. I have three school-going younger sisters. Hope I can get full loan. I registered for a degree course, but I have no idea where to look for scholarships available. I'd prefer scholarships that can cover the tuition fees in UNITEN.u should look also at other scholarships offer in here....if your spm/matriculation result is great, many companies offering good scholarship u know.. QUOTE(hsienhsien @ Jun 2 2009, 12:21 PM) yea, im waiting ipta oso, paid bmk too, im still thinking how to get full loan, anyone knows or share ur experience here? i got 3 siblings, included my mom, my dad and me is 6 members. how much i shud put the income? Yeah I'd like to know that too. |

QUOTE(simplicity1224 @ Jun 11 2009, 10:07 AM) Yeah..i am SO not good looking What logic is it that people who are not good-looking are rejected in university applications? So sad I think you should appeal. All the best! |

QUOTE(hsienhsien @ Jun 14 2009, 09:00 PM) Yeah I got it already. I actually bought the PTPTN pin number before opening an SSPN account.A question though: Since I already got both PTPTN pin number and SSPN account, is it advisable to start applying for PTPTN online now or wait till I'm enrolled in UNITEN this 28th first? QUOTE(dlwl @ Jun 15 2009, 10:37 AM) if i remember correctly you don't need to apply online, just keep the pin no with you, and wait until the ptptpn officers come to uniten and help you out. you can confirm with the registrar about this. QUOTE(exentric_nova @ Jun 15 2009, 10:42 AM) As far as I know, if you apply with the officer in UNITEN, if u filled the form properly, you are pretty much confirmed to get it, just need to wait for the money. Whereas applying online is still unconfirmed to be accepted. Means the PTPTN pin number is actually not needed? I already registered at the epinjaman website but I have yet to fill my particulars in as I am not sure whether I should apply now. And may I know, if I enroll in UNITEN on the 28th, when will I be able to apply for PTPTN with the officer there? It was like that during my time but not sure if it's still the same. Thank you for your replies. |

QUOTE(exentric_nova @ Jun 15 2009, 11:00 AM) I'm not exactly sure about the number. I did applied it 4 years back. Maybe other forumers can help with that. As for the time when will the officer comes, there is no exact date. You just have to pay attention to the notice boards (especially in Admin building) or just ask your friends every now and then. Usually news travel fast. QUOTE(sujend @ Jun 15 2009, 11:05 AM) its fully online nw..last year's intake everything was done online..the ptptn staff will only come to collect the document upon the loan being approved...apply later after the 28th of coz..finance dept will guide u people..be calm k Thank you both for your help |

QUOTE(ante5k @ Jun 20 2009, 11:40 AM) It's a relief knowing this. Thank you QUOTE(dlwl @ Jun 20 2009, 11:43 AM) depends on your parents' pay also. but most probably you'll get the loan when you apply here, just a matter of full or half loan I have my parents' payslip readily certified, and it's stated RM2K/month. I have three school-going sisters and only my dad is working. I hope I'll get the full loan, it's going to help a lot. I can only apply for PTPTN after I'm enrolled there, right? |

May I know one thing, is the accommodation provided during orientation the same as the one those students who opt to stay in the hostel get after orientation? As in, let's say I opt to stay in the hostel. Will I be staying in the same room from orientation till the end of one semester? I have a lot of things to bring with me!
Is it safe to bring my laptop during orientation? I'm from Perak and it's not possible for me to go back/ask my parents to bring my laptop to me after orientation. This post has been edited by ISFJ: Jun 21 2009, 10:41 AM |

QUOTE(sujend @ Jun 21 2009, 01:24 PM) YES..u will be staying in the same room for the whole semester! It's good to know that I'll be staying in the same room for one whole semester instead of having to move my stuff into a different room after the orientation.and girls get to choose to stay in either a single room or a sharing room unlike the guys..we are forced to stay in the sharing room which is nt that bad afterall.Laptop's safety is at ur own risk but it is advisable for you to bring it after the orientation ! It's not practical for me to go back/ask my parents to bring my laptop to me again after the orientation as it'll be troublesome (around 4 hours' drive from Perak). I'd like to know if the wardrobe provided in the hostel rooms have locks. Are they built-in or do we need to buy separate locks so that I can keep my laptop in it during orientation? |
