I certainly hope so. Bought MW2 while waiting for Bad Company 2 and I am TOTALLY disappointed with it's multiplayers.

I believe it's actually possible that BFBC2 have a fighting chance to out do MW2. This is probably the 1st time that I hope that any game, particularly BFBC2 to sell alot on consoles, as I want DICE to achieve greater success than IW.

You might ask why do I think so. Well one simple reason is that before the hype over MW2 having no dedicated server support, I have not heard of BFBC2. Ever since then, EA DICE has been very aggressive in promoting BFBC2 with more frequent trailers and gameplay videos to take advantage of IW's controversial issue with the PC community. Just by the hype and aggressive marketing itself, I believe BFBC2 has already secured a huge sum of sales.

I think EA take BFBC2 as a "revenge" for MW1 which outdo their BF2142.

They are doing much better compare to IW.At least on the PR and promotion side.

If im not wrong,BFBC1 did quite well on the consoles.

BFBC2 does have a fighting chance with MW2,as it's a very polished and innovative game.At the same time,it have won the hearts of the people who are disappointed by MW2.I just think that BFBC2 might lose on the SP side,but still,we havent seen the SP yet.

Modern Warfare 2 sales pass 1 billion, a bit over hyped dont you think?

I hope BFBC2 beats MW2, sales wise its gonna be tough, but it can happen, game quality wise(sp,mp), I think BFBC2 can definitely do it!

That is exactly what I thought too, MW2 success was largely because it has already secure a huge fan base from COD4's success and the huge hype generated from the controversy just gets more attention from newcomers to MW2. I've ask a few people that I know that bought the game said that MW2 is a good game, but it's not good enough for the price they paid for, they even mention that COD4 is still the better game.

Oh, just to add 1 more point even a huge percentage of those that boycott the game bought it out of curiosity.

Dont think so as MW1 was a huge success and most gamers are anticipated for a sequel to IW's MW2.While most of them dont know about the dedicated server issue or cant be bothered about it.

BFBC2 definitely beat MW2 in terms of game quality,but the problem lies on how well it will do in sales.If you are talking about a game from EA that might beat MW2,i think ME2 would do better than BFBC2.The consolers loved the first ME and pretty much everyone is anticipated for the sequel,including PC gamers.

What i heard is,MW2 did well because of aggressive marketing on 360 and it sold well in 360,than PC.

I heard the ratio of sales between the console version and PC version of MW2, the ratio is 50 to 1,which every copy of MW2 PC sold,50 copies of console MW2 was already sold.Some of the large games chain stores in Aus and US carry only a few copies of PC MW2,while the console version pretty much fill up the whole shop.

It was posted by a GAME worker in IW forums.This just shows that console is where the money lies.

Just saw the latest update on EA SG today. There actually red out the part. Find it out yourself in pic.
Now I just hope there will be both retail (boxset) copy and digital copy like the US coz I really hate EA Downloader.

Still waiting for the price from Steam, as most probably they offer beta code. ^^ Most of you might wonder how does the beta leak in Steam look like, I will attach a picture for you to drool more.

if thats true, means PC version of MW2 only sold around 300,000 copies...since its estimated MW sold a total of almost 15 million worldwide.

BF2 sold about 2 million copies which was of cos PC only.
now BC2 got consoles also...i think we're gonna see a new sales record coming up

BC1 was a console game anyway with no pc version.

yea, but i wonder how many units BC1 actually sold.
i doubt it managed to outsell the 2mil+ of BF2.
