Im talking about a server browser that is like this:



With a button to access it in the game,not via console,voodoo or some funky way.

L4D2 annoys me a lot as i need to spend time finding every single server's Steam group so that i can play on their server at my own will.At the same time,the matchmaking system never match me to the closest low ping server.Instead,i end up in Japanese server almost all the time.I stopped Battlefield Heroes also due to matchmaking system,even though they have dedicated servers.

L4D2 have dedicated servers but it doesnt even have a proper server browser,unless you access it via console.

Im concern that BFBC2 use the same catastrophic system which makes dedicated server pretty much useless if the matchmaking is badly done.

alrite back to the sober answer.

since bf has provided us with server browsers in the past titles n heroes is the 1st pc matchmaking bf title......i will have to say its a 50/50 chances.

I think it's confirmed that we have a traditional server browser.

Only one minor problem,no modding.

modding is not a big deal though....frostbite is a new engine for any sandbox. plus GvD said tht it was hard for the team to develop this game with this engine so they will wait till like everyone is ready n settled thn they will make a sandbox for frostbite.

To be honest,im not exactly a fan with modding in FPS.

Most of the time,the stuff they make isnt fun.I just prefer to play the game the way it is now.

i truly support this....but i only like zombie mods....coz i get to shoot zombies!

LOL,even zombie mods i also dont play.If i want zombies,L4D2 and KF is the way to go.

Except games like UT3 where there are heaps of good mods to play.

Im not saying modding is bad,but it's getting extremely difficult for a normal person or a team to come up with something decent in a realistic amount of time.

oic. so it is not really EASG has started the pre-order. So the price shall be around RM160-RM180 after conversion.

I think if pre-order from EASG, it might be the digital version, i.e. need to download the game dvd from the web. If pre-order from gamers.com, might not get the access to beta test since they may only get the games on release date.

Anyway, my streamyx line sucks for connections to anywhere in the world except malaysia/spore/aussie. So unless there is beta server in these 3 locations, it is pointless for me to get the beta.

but i think the LE won't be that Limited. I think they will churn out as many LE as possible for the first batch of buyers. It is just a marketing gimmick to lure ppl into buying it early rather than wait and see how is the game then only buy.

yup... saw it after i posted but my streamyx line doesn't have good ping to all OZ servers, only certain servers.

havent had good pings to gamearena for a few months already...same with taiwan.
only aussie thats sorta decent is games.on.net.

actually, i will only buy the LE if it comes in a different special packaging...else i'll just get the regular.

if only unlocks..... few days of gametime(hardcore) can achieve that already...

Good to hear that the prices are reasonable. But i would also get from Gamers.com or EASG direct rather than a forumer unless it is cheaper by quite a margin or he is in JB where I can collect on the day it is out.

as long as nothing goes wrong with contract negotiations, Fragnetics should have Singapore ranked servers for BC2 in time for the demo
