My line's speed is alright for now.

But the pass few days I've been having a lot of disconnections. Like a lot. And usually I can't get back on for the next 5 minutes or so after every disconnection.

Why test local server? You should test the server which is very far away from Malaysia. E.g. London, New York, etc.

Local connection fast is useless. The most important thing is international connection also get super fast speed even connect to very far countries like US, UK, Argentina, etc.

When I test my speed, I will not use any nearby server. I want my connection to be fast when connected to local and international servers, doesn't care how far the servers are. Even the server is placed in other planet, I also want my connection to that server fast. Every ISP have the responsibility to meet these requirements. If I found that my connection to any far away countries get slow, I will blame TM. No excuse will be given.

Overview

The Next Generation National Broadband Network (Next Gen NBN) is the wired network of the Next Generation National Infocomm Infrastructure (Next Gen NII), a project under the Intelligent National 2015 (iN2015) masterplan to transform Singapore into an intelligent nation and global city, powered by Infocomm.

It will entrench Singapore's infocomm hub status and open doors to new economic opportunities, business growth and social vibrancy for the country. It is envisioned that Next Gen NBN will eventually provide nation-wide ultra-high speed broadband access of up to 1Gbps and more to all physical addresses in Singapore, including homes, schools, Government buildings, businesses and hospitals. At the start of its operations, the Next Gen NBN is expected to offer users broadband speeds of at least 100 Mbps.

By 2010, 60 per cent of homes and offices can already expect to have access to this new, ultra-high speed, pervasive, all-fibre network and coverage is expected to reach 95 per cent by 2012.

In the near future, there will be a myriad of services riding on the Next Gen NBN that will empower business users at the workplace, as well as users at homes, schools and learning institutions.
2010 can have broadband at least 100Mbps
now SingNet already offering 15Mbps ADSL broadband
