Oh hell, sometimes I just wish some terrorist will just bomb their whole damn network.

Connection currently a big joke with tracert to 202.188.0.133 ending up with :

Tracing route to cns3.tm.net.my [202.188.0.133]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

I guess we can ignore future announcement by Streamyx about upgrading or fixing as they're doing nothing. Just release the announcements to let us know that they're doing something but not actually. wink.gif

Everything is restored to my end i believe.

However, packet loss to google.com and google.sg .

No packet loss to my server in europe. And to all other vpn servers, in UK , USA , Germany and Canada.

I guess Tmnet has settled this smile.gif

yeah, but don't confuse people by immediately saying it is a monitoring and logging tool mah....a lot of people got scared by it.

nevertheless i will contact someone in TM on the nearest working day and ask about it...will get back to all once i know the answer

The private 10.x.x.x block of IPs is being used within the TM network / infrastructure. This is done by other ISPs as well. Those routers with those private IPs do not need to be accessed directly from outside so they don't need to have public IPs. Since the routes are within the TM network, the routing will work using private IPs. This also save public IPs from being unnecessarily used as public IPs are in shortage.

Think of it as there is an entry point on one side using a public IP into the network, then things go around using private IPs and then it exits on another side on a public IP. This is considered normal. Its just that we haven't seen it before on TM.

We need some good explanation from TM on this so-called "Private IP"

Someone please send a e-mail to ceo[at]tmnet.com.my

Did you see my post before yours? And andrew9292's post earlier? What exact explanation are you looking for? You could send the email and let us know if you get your answers.
