i think 1 of my female is gravid. getting fatter and fatter.

last 3 days i did feed them both. i can;t really tell if she is feeding. never seen her eat before. but her mate, he eats all the time. i'm keeping them in pairs.

oh well in a couple of month we will know if she is really gravid or just fat.

talking about fat, is it advisable to plump our scorps.

i mean there are issues regarding dogs and cats that are obese i wonder if scorpions are also effected by the same issue.

hopefully she will give birth to them when i'm not busy or active with my job.

if she pops in october or november then i can take very good care of her since i'm on standby at that time and not much work is going on.

how much did the desert hairy cost you lester and how did you were able to get it?

wow. ur scor is molting. i hope to see mine molt too.
but i don't see any signs yet on the three of them. Gristle is very old already and i don't think he will molt anymore.

just gave him a bath and a good brushing to keep him clean. he was playing with mud in the old enclosure and he looks really dirty.

he didn't like the bath thou. pinch me really hard.

i cannot see them. my own mistake. make such a nice hide for them. they just spend the whole day inside and only come out when i'm asleep.

need to setup a critter cam.

now where is that webcam?

Added on June 4, 2009, 1:55 amcan't wait for 8th of june. after that i can rearrange my room to make sure the grass in my enclosures get enough sunlight.

i really like the plants in the enclosure. they provide quite a lot of humidity.

how common are mites a problem to scorpions?

this subjects keeps creeping up a few times already.

ryo, Gristle is always pinching me. since he does not have a complete telson, he has adapted with very powerful pincers.

when i'm feeding him he will pinch me, when i'm arranging the plants he will pinch me. my left thumb is full of his marks.

i like to see him eats mealworms that are still alive from the back to the front. looking at the mealworms as it moves in agony in those powerful claws are euphoric.

nope he is in a very large enclosure. more then enough room.i just like to put the meal worm infornt of him and he would lunge and pinch me.

if i did then i will not be posting here anymore. just imagine being tag by a fat tail every time you feed it.

to spider lovers, there is a Monster Quest episode this week if i'm not mistaken regarding a giant spider that can eat a dog. i think it is tonight at Astro ch 555.

i saw on youtube that afs can eat the common house lizard. is it advisable? i have a lot of them here.

it's raining heavily here.

oh and about the SWHS, try taping the median eyes with micropose, it is a type of surgical tape. the scorp just like in a trance when you tape the median eyes.

ryo,regarding the tape , i accidently found out about it. i was taping my forceps when the tape fell onto the scorp and it just sat there. i pick it up and it didn't move much. so i had the chance to have a look good at it.

i'll will post the pics once i get my camera back.

further more, aros did asked for a close up of the chelea and carapace.

i'm on a long run tonight. have to finish a lot of paper work.
imagine printing 320 sheets of full colour pages using a bubble jet printer. at least the scorpions are moving about. having a better time then me.
