hi guys...has been ages since i drop by here..
boooster, brucesss, i just sunbled across a thread from baronic, and he mentioned that symbian hacking is now allowed to be discussed as it is similar to iphone jail breaking, however, warez discussion that involves cracking/using full version of payware without buying it is still not allowed.. also, hacking with the intention to install those apps are also regulating the rules as well..so when u wanna ask, just ask about hacking, and no others more details here: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1111630 anyway for those who wanna hack their phone, first you'll need to get urself a developer's cert Added on March 22, 2010, 10:08 amso anyone felt anything different with v35 compared to v31? i never really know what is the alarm snooze problem, maybe didnt encounter before.. i heard the music player product better sound now, and application launch faster..users that upgraded, any more difference? last night i upgraded, i did feel apps are opening slightly faster, gallery took arond 8 seconds to load, unlike the 15 seconds last time, application manager also launched faster.
no comment on battery life, need to test it out later, and snooze problem never encounter, my phone is on 24/7(almost) not sure about digital compass, but GPS softwares normally can do that right? |

Just a simple question, if the phone was preivously hacked, after updated it, do I need to hack it again? Some say yes, some say no. For safeside, once I updated to v31 (previously hacked), I hack it again. I haven't update to v35.

Slow means good also. Not much problem to discuss or solve.

Wonder if you guys are experiencing the same thing as me. Each time I restart my N82 and open the Menu for the 1st time, it will take within 10s to load, then only it will smooth. I think this apply to all Symbian v60? Or just me?

it's always been this way, cos the menu is like a 'app' and it is not launched when u first boot ur phone, only when u press on the first time, it will launch, and run in background..
have u updated to v35? cos what i experience on v35(hard formatted as well too) is that it will only take ~1 second extra P.S. last time i think i even recall those app manager, u can find ur menu's process and terminate one..haha This post has been edited by BBXiong: Mar 29 2010, 12:07 PM |

actually mine was failed once...cos i tot just need battery..but i think it's written there need charger connected with power on..first time i didnt do that, hence failed, but still just boot up as V31, wont corrupted one, don worry...second time i did that, after off, it will turn on again, detect as generic rom, and start flashing liao, after few minutes, done
if u are using OVI suite, it shouldnt cause any problem..just go ahead, apps do launch faster u know...quite a noticeable speed increment too last time my gallery took me 15-20seconds for the "Opening", and when it finish loading, it shows blank picture(cos got 250+ pictures), right now, i counted, it's just around 8 seconds, and it shows proper last taken/added picture.. i didnt notice much bass difference on the default music player, but i guess there might be some bass boost, but not really that obvious... OMG failed while updating? This is what I'm afraid of, because I'm not so good at this.
Last time I updated to v31 by using PC Suite, with Celcom Broadband, so scary, I keep wishing that it won't get disconnected. Luckily everything went smoothly. But before update my N82, I tried an update on my 5610XM 1st, haha. Hmm, since now I got 2 weeks break, will try to update to v35 later. |
