With ur opinion does it be worth for me to spent those prices on it?

RM35 for a 1 inch? I'd buy it in a heartbeat! I paid like US$35 for mine! But of course I do not know what the usual rate for a Sing. Blue is there.

Old fart: I hate you now... how many Blondies do you have to show off!!!  cry.gif

Just the 4 incher and this old girl. She's easily 7+ inches possibly 8. But blondis are hard as it is, I'm taking a gamble that I can get the big girl back into her prime considering she already has a history of bad molts. Plus she's not eating which is not a good sign- most T's with butts this small would jump, sit and roll over for food! Hope she does not have major parasites!

ETA: Well she found the hide and she's started eating.. so it looks good so far.

Yup. smile.gif

ETA: If ventral sexing shows male, it is a male.
If it looks female(to me), it might be either male or female. Though there are some people who get it right most of the time- unfortunately I'm not one of them. blush.gif

Nhandu coloratovillosus- always waiting for more food!

Brachypelma boehmei- first pic of my boehmei, finally got the red legs! rclxm9.gif

This is my Haplo with the big butt. Finally molted! Still has some junk in the trunk but not so scary looking- used to look like her butt might just fall off laugh.gif
user posted image

Selenocosmia crassipes- I hardly ever see this one cause of all the webbing so the size surprised me. Really need to rehome this one- way too big for the kritter keeper it is in now. I'm guessing from the front legs it must be four inches at least, maybe 5!
user posted image

Stromatopelma calceatum- finally got a decent pic of this one, molted about two weeks ago.
user posted image

Megaphobema robustum- might give this one away along with most of my Chilobrachys. Everything is growing up and I just don't have space to put them all.
user posted image

Theraphosa blondi- my six legged female putting on some weight after 4 roaches and some cricks. The grub looking things are supposed to be ootheca/egg sacs dropped by the female roaches it was feeding on. Those things are like over an inch long- hard to believe it came out of a 2 inch roach! shocking.gif

Hysterocrates gigas adult male- Can't find an adult female for this guy- poor guy is very frustrated!

Looks good. I'd give it two or three more inches of substrate at the least to reduce the height it can climb and more substrate will give it a chance to burrow or seal the hide if it wants to.

it kinda make me think, why rosea tend to burrow when their slings, and adult they tend to stay outside hiding on barks.... coz my rosea sling dig quite a deep burrow.... and my adult one just staring into darkness...
*
Most slings tend to burrow- as slings, they are easily preyed upon and need a place to hide from predators. Even (most) arboreal slings will burrow if not given something to hide in.

ETA: looks like littlesaint beat me to it.

thanks ya ... So... wat shut i do? give my T more substrate or it just ok?  blush.gif

*
Nothing really wrong as it is now. But if you want to reduce the risk of injury to your T, increase the level of substrate so that if it falls, it won't fall too far. Esp. with A. geniculata, they are good eaters and tend to get big butts. A fall could very easily cause injury when they have big butts. Increasing the level of substrate will also allow it to burrow. I like to let my T's burrow- gives them a place to go to feel secure when they want to molt without being disturbed. A burrow also allows them to control humidity. If they spend a lot of time in the burrow but it is not sealed i.e. they are not in pre-molt, it can be because your enclosure is too dry.

Got some bad news. I'm down to one male MET. Found my largest male dead from what looks like a bad molt. But his butt is nasty- had small fruit flies all over it and what looked like maggots or nematodes shocking.gif Quickly took the enclosure out of the T room and busted out the fly traps. Not gonna risk the flies spreading the nematodes to my other T's if it is nematodes.

On the good news front, my female MET molted and is looking really pretty. Here she is.

Also got another pic of my KB- she looks really bright- not sure if it is the flash or if she molted. Could not get a good look at the butt but her legs look pretty fresh.

KB's are cool. Unlike blondi's with big butts and skinny legs, KB's are very stocky. Though you won't see it very often. In that sense, the blondi wins. tongue.gif But looks wise, KB's are better looking IMO.
This was how she looked when I first got her...

Hello guys,i need a lil bit of identification help here~
This sling looks like Psalmopoeus Irminia or Psalmopoeus Cambridgei?
I bought this as P. Irminia but it seems more like P. Cambridgei to me.
coz i kept a P. Irminia sling before this and the "tiger stripes" marking is much more obvious than how it looks at those pictures below~

* sorry for the lousy picture quality, these are the best i could capture~

and wat do u guys normally use for climbing furniture for those arboreal Ts?
coz i placed a wood vertically(lean on container's wall) in the container but after 2 days white color fungus started to grow at the bottom of the wood due to contact wif humid soil~
guess tats not a good thing for my Ts...

Thx~
*
Wish I had taken some pics of my slings so I have more to fall back on than my memory(which sucks) but it doesn't look like a cambridgei to me- too dark.

I use a piece of cork bark with half inch holes drilled all the way thru- but I would not recommend drilling the holes. They do seem to like the holes but I lost an expensive sling because it got one foot stuck in a molt and I could not get to it cause it hid inside the hole. A couple days later it lost the leg but died anyway. sad.gif
A piece of cork bark and a couple inches of substrate will do- they will burrow at the base anyway and make a tube web as they grow older.

That is strange! Slings should take pinheads unless they are full/in pre-molt.

All I can think of is to try something pre-killed. Leave it there overnite. Remove it if it is not eaten.

Hope so too! The only sling I had that did not eat died eventually. Think it got injured when it wrestled with a mealworm and it never acted normal after that. Would not burrow, would not eat.

You sure it is koyaK? Sometimes it is just very crumpled. With a little care, a pin and some moisture, sometimes a skin can be saved- even after a few days. So long as the T did not chew on it. tongue.gif
