Also I thought if the screen can stand it, why spend? It was a trial for the phone. As I didn't find any scratches that were able to be seen without giving me a headache, then I decided I'll stick with no protection.

I did that to other phones as well.
There's a funny story, I played around with my friend's P1i. I didn't know it was a touchscreen. But force of habit as always made me touch an icon on the home screen, and to my surprise it worked!
One time, when operating a phone with a keypad, i didn't look like a fool.

I believe lot of tubers here also had same embarrassing moment when come to that kinda situation.
