yay I got my phone working again.
I sent it to NCC and they fixed it in an hour.

I asked the price of the orginal casing but the lady didn't know sadly. sad.gif

Oh yeah and I might go there again to tighten up my casing. My friend's red tube casing is super tight. He's lucky to get one like that.

We're most probabaly using different earphones but as a rough guideline. Not many here loves a subtle bass and this is a rough guide for you, adjust it with your own preferences. I turn loudness on but you may want to turn it off though.:

Very subtle innit? laugh.gif
Again this is a rough guide, different hardware responds differently so adjustments with your own earphones and ears will vary.

just want to know anyone of you, used to claim LCD from Nokia service centre before, due to the display color change?
*
Yes, some of us(including me) changed our LCD module due to that problem.
Never ever had that problem ever since, and it's been a month for me. Just tell the NSS person what the problem is and they'll know what to do.

any idea if the 5800 screen protector can work for the n97? looking for one now =( cant seem to find the original plastic film is peeling.

if it can, whats the best screen protector to get? any recommendations? thanks...
*
I thought the screen is too big for it? tongue.gif
Well, from what I've heard, the Invisible Shield is rubbery, so might not be the best option for scrolling around in the screen. Plus it uses that liquid applicator thing to stick to the screen which can be a hassle.

hey guys.. been playing with the phone torch app just now (my office has this creepy dark place even during the day time), found that the phone torch doesnt go off when u shut it down.. just kinda hangs there until u restart... anyone get that issue?
Erm, not really.. but i did notice that the calculator function numbers are blurred...
*
WHat do you mean, when pressing the Start/Stop button the light doesn't go off?
I haven't encounter it but usually it is very laggy(dunno, since I upgraded to v21, it's unstable). So you might wanna wait till it's off.

My friend's phone recently has a problem and can't be fixed with a reset (*#7370#). He recently can't edit pictures and he can't adjust the volume in his music player. His FW is up to date.

with the garmin installed by him...

still exploring the phone and don't know what should i do because this is my 1st ever expensive phone...hahahahahahaha....

still not charge the battery yet...
only make and received several call...

my noob question here...
1. do i need to do hard reset?everything look fine...
2. try to use the FM radio but look like not functioning....(already put on the handsfree)
3. how to use the garminxt? (i'm first timer)
4. please add other info ...

thanks
*
U put in the standard remote control?
if you plug in your own earphones without the remote, you'll need to choose 'headphone" instead of "Lineout". I found out using the latter the Radio won't work.

What memory? I think it's the RAM. Not the phone and memory card, as acquiring a Firmware update I think has nothing to do with either of those.

I'm with you. Some parts of KK used to be the sea and they did a land reclamation for over 10 years. And yet, it still shows that the road is on the freaking water!!

Probably for some parts, MSM and MFM missed, and for most other parts, MSM and MFM is far more updated.

He's probably lucky he got that sweet spot.

Yeah, and even the best mpas provider can sometimes miss. It's very costly to update frequently and very work intensive.

I'll check KK map to see how well Nokia's doing.

Well I do notice that some maps(Malaysia also) are double in size.

I know it's old news but I just tried Shazam, and it works quite well actually.
Works like TrackID with SE.

I'm having fun playing around, and looking at what songs aren't in their 8 mil songs database. laugh.gif

alot of songs are not in their database are malay, chinese songs mostly for english mostly are trance
*
Yeah, I notice that to. But I'll only listen to mostly English songs.

So far it recognized Muse songs from every single album and more, a lot of songs from Apocalyptica, pretty much every Linkin Park songs, quite a few classical orchestra(which only the title is correct, but understandable), a lot also from Radiohead, Three Days Grace, a relatively unknown band Egypt Central was also recognized.

Too many, I can't list them all. So overall, for my taste of music, it can recognize a lot.

Not to mention almost every single one have their album art displayed.

im thinking of changing the housing.
hope they sell it separately of the front and back housing..

since i only need the back housing because the stylus holder is loose
*
Since the operational part of the touch screen is attached to the front casing, I wonder how they're gonna change the front casing?

I opened the front bit a short while back, but didn't pay close attention to how well or not the plastic bit is attached to it though. tongue.gif

Some needs to change the back (batt cover0 because the stylus holder is broken.

I want to change both front and rear. My stylus holder is broken and my front fascia(thankfully not the actual screen itself) has a short but deep scratch.

i tot u already went to NCC before?
*
For diffrent reasons.
I went twice, one for changing the earpiece and LCD module, the other is because i had forgotten my lock code. tongue.gif

I had asked my local NCC before but they didn't know the price, so I assume it hadn't arrived yet. Well I didn't carry enough cash with me anyway at the time.

the preinstalled player is fine actually. just it cant play avi format. thats all. how come its laggy?
*
AVI is laggy. Someone here mentioned before, that the phone actualy streams the video into a more playable format, on the fly. That in turn uses more RAM.

Added on June 14, 2009, 10:42 pmHey where'd you get that?? how much??
