why would people laugh leh? I'm also a new A200 user... also using kitlens... so far, no complaints... just enough for me to start and learn more...

true true... like what achew's siggy says, it's not about the gadget, cameras or gizmo, it's about the photographer him/herself...

Can is can la.... but best would be to get the Macro lens themself...

personal advice from me, only get a M42 lens IF you're using a300/a350(because you'll need the tilting screen) or a seasoned Photog... coz I'm using one now, and with my a200, It's really hard to focus with it... but the best thing is, It really forces you to really make sure all your settings are correct and subject(s) are in focus... But if you're willing to venture, then why not right?

and about the focusing .... maybe prove much troublesome
but if it used on large aperture shud it be simpler to focus????

that's why it would be easier if you're using a300/a350 coz of the tilt screen... I know it's cheaper, but the difficulties you run into when using with a200 is just too much... why don't you just invest in minolta lenses instead? the price is quite nice also... and the results are still beautiful... that's why now I'm more to hunting for minolta lenses... or, you can go for tamron/sigma... got nice price also what... as the saying goes in this thread, "you get what you paid for"...

dark aperture u mean???anyway i don think we shd depend on that for focusing..im sure u wouldnt want to shoot everything in F5 and above right..

i think manual lens is good/fun to play with if u have all the time in the world..slowly adjust..find the combi u wan...if u r shoot event/models...maybe it'd b a lil bit slow..just my personal opinions..nv really use m42 b4 tho..haha

Ah just finished basketball. Saw rainbow just now. How to take rainbow ar? Is it like JUST TAKE or got certain settings?

yes bro...just test and learn....

i also find it a lil bit hard to shoot rainbow..usually the sky is very bright..and the surrounding would get under exposed..
