QUOTE(alpha_company @ May 17 2009, 05:08 PM) alien gun cheapo2 ... DIY flash rings also cheapo2...but i donno how to build it. i stil need some modification....but generally..the making process shd b similar to the 'alien gun' too...the diff is..u need to calculate more precisely here bcoz u had to put the flash infront of ur lens(in the 'hole' at the center)..so the distance is impt....@sidewinderz - can answer my Q on previous page? Added on May 17, 2009, 5:13 pm teach me how to do this?? and the diff of this and alien gun? the diff of flash produced? heres some examples for portrait taken with ring flash taken from flickr ![]() ![]() the pic of diy ring flash attach on camera ![]() *none of these photos r belong to me..credit goes to all the orig owner in flickr... okay~im going to town to get back my cammy~hopefully tonite can get some good shot! *seriously i don hav anything in my mind yet..do help me to think yea =p * This post has been edited by achew: May 17 2009, 05:36 PM |

i saw some review on the 'real' ring flash vs some diy-ed one...to be frank not much diff...other than the 'real' ring flash could deliver the flash to much further distance... okay..talk so much about ring flash..i've decided tonite i gonna come out with some portrait shots...not sure whether it'd sucess tho..lol..just a rough idea in my head now This post has been edited by achew: May 17 2009, 06:01 PM |

QUOTE(Braynumb @ May 18 2009, 08:10 PM) haha..ya...was using cz1680 but realized my living room is way toooo dark for the aperture....so i change to 50mm for a more flexible way of playing around with the setting..btw the light part...it was purposely done in a warmer tone as the model prefer to have warmer photo..lol This post has been edited by achew: May 18 2009, 08:17 PM |

QUOTE(albnok @ May 18 2009, 09:47 PM) v1rtual, I have often felt that the 50mm F1.4 (and F1.7) which can only focus to 45cm close, is a bit limiting. 34cm would be a lot more flexible. totally agree man....i wouldnt use my macro lens so often if my 50mm could go closer to get wad i wan....The new SAM 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 DT can focus to 25cm close. This is a lot closer than the SAL 18-70mm F3.5-5.6 DT's 38cm! |
