Hi there guys. I need your professional assistance. I jus got a blackberry storm from maxis. I applied for the 500mb data plan for a month. I am able to suft to google and so on but i am unable to use windows messenger and facebook application. When i called maxis and asked y, some said must apple for maxis Blackberry plan, some said is settings. I need some advice on this pls. Thanks.

Didn't you subscribe to Maxis BIS plan?

Nope, i got the Phone from my uncle. He gave it to me since he is not used to touch screen.

If that is the case, you would need to convert your data plan to BIS and you will have the Service Book sent to you for those application you intend to use. Hope this helps.

There is no option to monitor the usage bro.

Ouch! haha.. Anyways bro need check wit u, i called maxis jus onli and activated my BIS service. They said i will be able to use after 2 hours. I asked them if there is any settings to be sent to me or anything called "Service Book". The operator said none. Is this correct?

Go here and create a new account http://www.maxis.blackberry.com/. You may send a Service Book from there too. I am wondering the service quality provided by Maxis nowadays.

Under the Options, select Status, type in 'buyr', you will see additional info 'data usage' & 'voice usage', hope this help.

Sorry, no idea, actually the information is useless, eg. Data usage : Exceeded 250k , so what is the actual value, 1M, 2M, 5M ??

haha... Ya true. Quite complicating man BB. But its really a cool fon. Storm is great so far. But wat irritates me is when i lock the fon, the screen still rotates. So when i take it out of the pouch, the fon display is sidewards den ni will come straight.

i wonder the celcom or maxis 10MB plan would be enough?

or i should really go for the unlimited package?

You may try out 10MB and upgrade later if you find it not sufficient. The usage varies from user to user. 10MB does not enough to last for 2 days for my email usage.

1 more question, the blackberry facebook application, just for messaging only right? no pic browsing izzit?
if with pic, 10MB definately wont last long.

u can browse pix on bb facebook without any problem.

do u know whether bb support chinese input? cuz i receive mails from china..

it depend how much data u are fetching from facebook album. no problem with chinese character and u can install those character support from BB desktop manager.
