In my opinion, is actually not worth do goes for 8520. Price for 8900 are dropping day by day. The screen and resolution is just among the best. Size and look is just nice.
It worth a look. smile.gif

According to some advises from crackberry forum: Here

"The 8520 is a Curve 8320 with a faster processor and lots more RAM.

The 8900 is one of the 3 best BlackBerrys on the market. The 8520 has 2, nearly 3-year old hardware (some of it dates back to the 8700). The 8520 is a low-end BlackBerry while the 8900 is one of the best BlackBerrys and one of the best devices on the market. So spend the extra $20 and get the 8900, you'll love it."

Above comment, summarize the whole. thing.

ic..
i am still waiting for Maxis to reveal their 8520 price..
if the price diff between 8900 and 8520 is greater than 300, then i will need to choose a cheaper 1.. haha. but 8900 really has a better spec and features..

can we install Garmin XT in BB with GPS built in?

1 doubt. if i buy 2nd hand set, how to check whether the PIN is locked or suspended? How to check to make sure the phone is usable with BIS?

and i saw many ppl selling storm 9500 at quite a low price, about 11xx only.. any idea why so cheap compare to 8900 and bold 9000? izzit really because storm dont have wifi?

If U found a 2nd hand BB. U can ask the seller to give u the device pin and IMEI. Then register it on your BIS provider. If can register, mean Pin is not locked.
U should tell seller that if pin not release, U not going to buy it.

Storm 9500 is low price "maybe" because:
1) touchscreen, no keypad: It make a huge different on typing speed. I can type much faster on my BB8900 than E71 or E61i.
2) No wifi like U said.
3) suretype- some users complaint it was hard to type compare to Iphone.

so to make sure i can register the pin, i need to

1 take the pin and imei from the seller
2 go to celcom or maxis center to register BIS service (can do this via phone call to the cust center??)
3 if verified the pin is ready to use, then buy..

am i correct?

for step2 onward, U can just do it online. But make sure U already choose the BIS provider. Choose only 1
For maxis: http://maxis.blackberry.com/
For Celcom: http://www.mobileemail.vodafone.com.my/

REMEMBER: Choose only 1 BIS provider that U going to sub. Because once registered, to release U need to call the telco company the pin locked to.

To register BIS, U need to go respective service center to do the registration.

spunkberry / Blackberry Pearl Flip 8220 / T-Mobile / ask for it (though I'm not even sure if it would work internationally)

Actually you can decide on what sort of emails gets its contents pushed or only the headers. With the headers only option, you can also decide if you want to download the email content after the headers get pushed to you.

You can also decide what sort of emails get pushed to your device.

All these done using filters.
