The laws of fundamental, men. Markets always move towards that direction in long run. But now it risks overshooting its earnings potental. I personally feel comfortable if contracts will resume to normalcy and the price does not go beyond RM1.50. No sweat and sweet dream, v-honda. If it drops, buy some more.

I think everyone must show their CDS statement to Teewan before they are qualified for the gathering. All must have KNM shares.

Guys, can give me some idea ? Tomorrow is T+3 for my KNM and Kinstel. However, I can only pick either 1.
If I pick up KNM, I will sell Kinstel at whatever price tomorrow. I assume Kinstel price drop tomorrow, so Kinstel is contra loss. However, KNM still make profit for me. If I pick up Kinstel, I will sell KNM and contra gain for KNM. But I have to see how Kinstel performance in SHORT term, I only play short term. Any idea ? |

My Dad tumpang me play Johan, Jaks and IncKen, left Johan only... I prefer shares which has some fundamental values in it. CDS ah... not everyone need to show lah. I will ask if needed. CKC need to submit me the full CDS list!  I photocopy then give everyone one copy, then we like shopping list just go n buy!! hahaha ... haha. I like Incken at 30sen actually but as I said I have no time to monitor, I did not put my hand in. Thanks for your compliment. I have been keeping one counter for 1.5 years by now, loss-making but believe the value will at least double in 3 years. There is no other way this counter to move but ends at certain level by certain date. Wanna know? Maybe, this will lure more people to join the gathering. But Teewan has already closed the registration. Luckily I registered early.

Kinstel has perwaja issue. Kinstel is loss-making. Steel prices have dropped by 60% but raw material prices have not as much. The only saving grace is its NTA of RM1 plus. At 90sen, Kinstel is not attractive.
That is my view. For KNM, it is slightly better because of the possible upside till RM1 to RM1.20 if oil touches USD60 to 70. The relative return now is not attractive compared to 2 to 3 months ago. But of course, when market is hot, people do not think of % of return. People will go crazy over just 10%. KNM is much better. The choice is not tough. |

KNM came down and now going up in very much a controlled fashion. You do not need an expert to tell you the same short-sellers might now be pushing it up from 35 sen to the current price. The timing coincides with global recovery. Who else could be doing that so masterfully but the biggest of international shark. When price plunged, the volume was huge daily too.
Now that it has 84.5sen, the relative return has narrowed but the absolute upside remains there. |

I read perwaja on edgedaily website. Perwaja said full provision has been made in accounts against claim of RM85m by petronas and it will defend itself. Kinstel is the holding company of Perwaja.

Say u manage to spot a share that can give you 10% yearly dividend yield, then this can more than cover for the 3.8% PA interests (charged monthly, so effectively about 4% per year gua I estimate, if you don't top up). Shares that I can think of includes Guinness, Amway, Panamy etc... |

The current price is already reflection of fair value. To move up, some catalysts are needed. Contracts, contracts..... Margin should not be too big an issue. 7.5 sen EPS a year should be there at a minimum, 10sen is achievable also. The worry is 2H of 2010. Once the worry is dispelled, RM1.20 is next. But if contracts remain a issue by Q4 this year, it will drift to 60sen.

I think the sudden drop is due to knee-jerk reaction on first H1N1 case in Malaysia.
I think there should be no 2nd or 3rd drop for today. Coming days/weeks drop, will depends if H1N1 spreads or more cases in M'sia. For today, those who wallop 0.740-0.750, now can sell for quick profit. |

DJ behaves like this bcos looks like +ve and -ve sector almost same number. Thus it's gone mad,

I just ate some roasted pork. If there was any H1N1 in it, I would have eaten it together.
It is not entirely a bad thing that the price comes down. I will buy if it drops to 65sen again. V-honda and some have sai-langed to some extent. One of you said fire-sales. At 77sen, it is double the price of this stock at its lowest. So, it was good sale, not fire sale. Fire sale was done when the price was at 35sen but no one think it was then too cheap to sell, much as now no one think it is a bit pricey to buy. At 85sen leve, the resistance was really obvious. I think that was yesterday's first hour of trading. The downward pressure would remain for a while and it is normal as the sharks want to sell back some to take profit and let the price drifts to a low level before moving in again. Selling now is not a bad idea as it exceeds my fair value of 70sen, but for long term holder, I do not have the time to sell high and buy low. I thought of inflation coming when the price was 35sen. The inflation has not come and that means the room to move up to 1.20 to 1.50 remains. Deflation will not be a long term problem as banks print money. Unfortunately I don't think I have the patience to do this and hence I decide to hold it. If it really go below RM 0.70, I might increase my portfolio from 70% to 80%. |

The gyration in recent 2 days and again on Monday really has to do with retail sales which have weakened. We knew about this when Warren Buffet said so in Berkshire's AGM some time ago.
Oil price then followed suit and now is USD56+ only. The critical figure to look for in KNM is the net profit margin in Q1 09 as sales values got slashed, amortisation of goodwill and intangibles was RM40m plus a year, I think and effective tax may continue to be higher. KNM will have to depend on lower interest rate, and lower raw material costs to counter the above. EPS will be an interesting figure to watch. News on substantial contract is next to none since Aug or Oct 08. It will be bad for the share price if annualised EPS for Q1 09 is below 7.5sen. We will see if it will be over or under 7.5sen next week Oil price meanwhile cannot fall to below USD53. If that happens KNM may move to 65sen, then we can see another round of sai lang among folks in this forum. |

I'm caught in a dilemma
1. Cash out now and earn a handsome amount (almost can buy a Vios with my long term earnings, almost, but I would drool at the thoughts of winnings of a Honda Accord) 2. Cash out some (perhaps half) and hold the rest, buy back if the price dips hard. 3. Teewan, 44sen is admirable as I wrote before. My prediction of Vios for you have come true but as market place is fluid, more so this counter, do not count the chicks yet till they are hatched. What you should do depend on many things; the most important of which is how much bullet you still have on the sideline and how much you crave for Accord. If you have another 20 to 30%% to spare, wait for the counter to come down and sai lang later. But I know you buy and sell shares more often than you eat rice everyday, you may miss out that fun if you have no cash in hand to contra; but of course there is this share financing facilities. When KNM touches 50sen, I will get one of those facilities to sai lang.
For now, just enjoy the shows of MU and Lee Chong Wei tonight. |

If you feel bad, think of a friend of mine who started with father-given RM5m but is now negative RM5m, having failed in biz deal. He is on the run now from Ah Long. So, risks are always there but take them in our stride. Correction will continue, but with luck, it may not be big and can hold at 70sen tomorrow. The more you understand and the harder you work, the better you can sleep; otherwise you will live in consternation when prices are weak. Cheer up, v-honda, we are with you.

I think if OPEC puts the production level intact later this month, oil may go down to USD50 unless good news come on economy of US.
GM banktuprcy wil be in the limelight as will concern over loan of financial firms. Of course, you need these uncertain factors to drive down the shares, and certainty to move them up. O&G service companies are still valued at 20 PEs as they are less susceptible to downturn. Equipment makers are about 10 times. So, KNM's price is comparable to peers and should stay where it is now. But it is in the nature of shares to overshoot on its way down or up. |
