Oh. 5w30 then. Which brand is good?  rolleyes.gif

You should try Torco, Lucas (Next month I'm using) and Motul. Motul you should go for Power Racing 300v rclxm9.gif. Been using it for almost 2 years now. Result excellent smile.gif A tips for you, best to service oil engine is 10K (Max 12k). If you love your engine that is smile.gif

hie guys, need help badly. after changing my rims 16" with 205/45 tires, my fc have increased dramatically.

previously on stock rims n tires, full tank wud go 380km. now its just a measly 280km for a full tank.
just serviced my car last week (normal service). but the tires im using are 3 diff tires. front tires are same, back tires diff. my fren said dat was the problem causing the FC to rise.

so isit the weight of the rim plus the diff tires thats causing this? or my alignment? cos my alignment is abit off.

many thx ahead

the weight of the rim was the major issues... if used wider tires, means more friction between tires surface and road surface... alignment still lead the high FC as well...

but i think different tires wont cause high FC significant, only the car will imbalance when u heavy pickup, over speeding and heavy braking... in sense that will lead the danger to u...

hmmm.

but wud fc be dat bad? i tried drivin as conservatively as i can. but didnt noe FC would be dat bad.

so in dat case, alignment and change of lighter rims? i read dat stock myvi rims n tires weigh 7kg. so lookin forward to weighin the new rims n tires.

its jsut a headache watchin ur fuel go down like a heavily souped out turbo car.

maybe try to do the alignment 1st... and pump more air into tires to reduce friction...
but if u drive auto definitely will lost more power in between...

anyway, i driving SXI, my myvi can serve me 550km per fuel tank or 17km/L with stock condition... smile.gif

I'm also driving SXI and for city driving (stop and go due to many traffic lights) I get an average of 380km on my fuel tank...using 195/55 15" wheels...while on highways...I can get 500km and above on a single fuel tank. Mind u during city driving I am sometimes a heavy footer so it can go above 400km on a single fuel tank if I try to save fuel.

Anyhow its like what gkl83 said...yr wheels must be aligned and must always check tyre pressure to make sure u dun burn more fuel than u already have haha.

hey punk, honestly speaking i had the same wheel specs as you on my myvi 1.3 auto. BUT no noticeable FC increase. My 50 bukss of fuel can last me 350KM full town driving. If i drive or accelerate fast all the time, its around 250 plus KM. If long distance driving will be 400km plus.

And some more, my front tires are inflated 27 psi and rear 26 psi. If i have 30 psi and above i am sure my fc much better.

Yea some of u will say my pressure is kinda too low. Well, on a low profile tire its ok. it does not flatten and flexes like normal tires do due to its stiff side walls. I know it will cause more damage if i hit pothole. well, been driving like this for years. 45 series on a myvi is really stiff.... regretted using it. So no choice but to decrease the psi! hehe...
