new grip model for D5000 is now selling...
fits D5000 better n most important is it uses wire direct link like a wired remote control instead of IR
can half shutter press to AF, like a real grip!

better send for repairs

if your cam dies on u when u nid to use it the most,
u suffer 99
like wat happened to me, vacation in HK, but cam died
2 days at service centre, so 2 days no camera, have to use backup compact camera...

i heard from other D5000 users who sent it for repair
mostly receive call from Nikon the next day that it is ready
some later but 2 days only la
fast n good service by Nikon MY~

they dont upgrade the firmware
change the whole internal circuit boards

cant la off cos...
change whole unit means different serial no
then warranty out lor...

bring jz to be safe la
but if din bring or lost it,
they can check your serial no. from database

haiz, this major problem for my D5000 solved
now the stupid thing is the Fn/Timer button below the flash button is stuck
