Hi, i wanna ask, those processor around 2.0~2.4Ghz can install vista?

no way, we're not that extreme yet. what we did was making sure our CPU was screwed properly and apply the TIM evenly also. the procedure of screwing the bolt through kit matters, don't tighten all screws at one time, do it slowly one at a time to be make sure all corners are leveled and not 'senget' one side (example, if you turn two times of the screw on a screw, make sure do the same to other screws, don't tighten down all screws at one time), so the TIM will spread evenly with the pressure applied. this will also ensure no air pocket trapped in the process. my cpu is not concave that terribly yet, so i just try my best to close in the gap by proper techniques.

for some coolers (like my TRUE120), i did a 'washer mod' to increase the pressure of the mounting kit, improves my temp by 3C.

erm, maybe this is tr120 specific? lol.

Kinda hard to say whether is the W7 causing the high CPU usage or ur hardware cant support it. But highly i believed the high usage is cause by vmware. As everything is rendered by CPU like what edmin say, and u only have 1 core to support all the processing task by my main and virtual OS.

Wow.. Thing seems screw up in W7 with ur system eh? Hm.. Just wander which version of VMware are u using? Im currently using the latest 6.5x version so far so good. Btw, i used CD/C2D/C2Q before with VMware i dont have problem as u said, cant select the core.

i tried 845PE chipset with 2.4C and no problem so far.
