You only need to install Dutty's fix cabs, eg. FM Radio fix. No need for hotfix, all taken care by Dutty rclxms.gif

Thanks for the reply Baronic!

I've got another question...

Maxis is offering the HTC Touch HD as one of their "myMaxis Phone Deals"~

I would like to know if there are ANY differences between this and one that I would get from say.. SIS... or even an AP model~

I know for a fact a lot of service providers overseas like to 'brand' their phones by either changing the phone's aesthetics a bit (my K500i had its QuikShare rubber sticker changed into Vodafone) or slightly modifying the software (there would be an icon for Vodafon in the main menu for example)

So I want to know if Maxis does this to their phones.. and do they lock the line (haven't heard of this in Malaysia though)...

And if they DO, is it possible to 'erase' any signs of it? (I'm quite picky about such things lol)

Thanks in advance again smile.gif

afaik, maxis doesnt have any tattoo on their phone deal devices. unlike singapore they got their own tattoo but certain ppl manage to remove it.

Newbie in PDA stuff. I just got this phone and there is a few question that i want to ask.

When your battery is low, does the phone tend to go slower?

What is this? (flash to duttys 3.4) Is it a processor? How can i check what processor that i am using now?

On top of the phone, there is a bar that shows what is program s running, does the (Active Sync) always running?

What is the memory running thing on top of my post? Is it the one that shows the %, mine is at 50. I dunno why even after i close the program after i use it still show at the bar that is running thus using my memory space making the pda hang or slows.

Sorry for so many question, just bought the phone 1 week and new to pda gadget.

1. According to my experience, i didnt feel the phone going any slower even when the low battery warning pops up.

2. Duttys 3.4 is among the wide cooked ROMs that you can flash to Touch HD. For more information on flashing ROMs, please check xda-developers website. To check which processor you have go to: Home --> Settings --> all settings --> system --> device information --> hardware: you can check your processor here, which is QUALCOMM 7201A. In Device Information, you can check which ROM is currently installed in your HD.

3. By default, ActiveSync is running most of the time. Even if you "x" it, it will still pops up...again you can search in xda-developers website for solution.

4. The % shows the percentage memory used. Some programs even if you press the "x" it might still be running in the background. You can search for some programs that can help to clear your memory.

QUALCOMM 7201A is ur Touch HD's processor, similar like to ur desktop or laptop pc, they have a processor..

Dutty is a person who makes custom ROMs, which is an edited operating system and drivers for the better of the Touch HD based on stock ones.. they are many more out there.. 3.4 is the version of Dutty's ROM..

Since you said that xda is a bit complicted for you, i think you better dont flash to custom ROMs. A wrong step and you might cause yourself lots of problem...worst you might even brick your HD...

I'm still using the stock ROM that come with HD (yes, i'm still waiting for that new official ROM, HTC SEA are you listening?) and i dont think it is that slow till it's unbearable...

Dutty 3.4 has a few bugs in it. V3.5 will be out this weekend. Dutty ROM is definitely faster than stock ROM, that is why it is so popular.
