maybe you can try put superglue on the inner ring...then try again? smile.gif

the BD cannot read because it is whobbling inside the ps3. ps3 cannot read...so mayb superglue the inner ring can help? but try to avoid uneven superglue...one side very thick, one side thin.... slight difference shud be ok

The problem we are facing is the crack line extend into the data area,
and the crack line is not on the disc surface, is in the inner layer of the disc.
So, i guess the super glue wouldn't help much, and might damage ur lens.

superglue the inner side...so its stronger and not extend....

bd drive can read easier....

but must careful dun put the glue near the data area, superglue are corrossive. since the bd also no use edi, can try loh.

dude...in the 1st place its not a good idea to put superglue on cd/dvd/bd discs...

Added on May 2, 2009, 6:08 pm@kenishi...

apparently its common problem for disc medias to crack... so take care when handling any discs...

If the disc still readable and playable, try not to put back into the original casing anymore.

hello there...
i think part of the cracked factor is because of heat.
the disc will become softer=fragile when it gets warmer if it stayed longer in the drive.
so immediate storing in the case might cause some stress to it.

Let the disc cool off for awhile after playing, then insert it gently into the casing. nod.gif

QUOTE(Kenishi @ May 1 2009, 06:24 PM)
Today, since is a holiday day, and nothing to do. So, i just wanna do a measurement on the crack line and check will my ps3 causing the crack line to extend.

I put the killzone2 disc in PS3, with roughly about 10-15 times to eject, insert, eject, insert, eject, insert, eject........and finally it load up the game.
Have an hour of Killzone2 online session, take the disc out.
And found that the crack line already silently extend into the data area for another 5mm.

I believe that if the disc already got crack sign, and we keep on playing it.
The crack line will keep on extend.

My killzone2 =.=, may u rest in peace.
And my others 2 disc, RE5, and SF4...will join the ceremony soon.
