helo guys.

want to ask about mobo. i'm getting a crosshair II formula for my PII 940. but, theres someone offering me to trade with JW-790GX EXTREME. which one is better for OC? any of u can get above 3.5GHz using these mobo?
*
Well i heard nvidia chipset on d crosshair II isn't really a good combo with Phenom II ah,while the JW-790GX Extreme i heard is an ok oc'er mobo mostly in HK forums but here support is scarce coz not a lot of people are using it at the moment.. sweat.gif

from what i know, the 790 chipset is better for oc.. And the temp for nvdia chipset is higher than the 790 chipset.. This is from my experience.. Before this i use asus m2n68 which is nvidia chipset. using 9950be.. The temp for my cpu is around 50-60 at my asus.. but after change to biostar, the temp for cpu is around 39-45 ony..

Agree with mozact, i noticed that as i was setting up a friend PC using a X2 7750 with a Nvidia chipset mobo, the default cpu volt used is much higher than when on an AMD chipset mobo sweat.gif

Regarding ur inquiry on the Corsair Gaming Ram, i donno if it's me but i really think the Corsair Gaming RAM is very sucko at o/c'ing..
I tried 1000mhz, 900mhz n 880mhz at 2.0v n all no go doh.gif
How i miss my Crucial's.. cry.gif

maybe it need high vdimm with bad timing to make it..
corsair not recommend this product for oc enthusiast.. tongue.gif
so can't expect more.. unless they state Corsair Gaming Overcook RAM DDR2 800mhz rolleyes.gif  rolleyes.gif
*
That's just it, i think i put setting very lax already, but even at 880mhz my OCCT test would stopped after 14mins sweat.gif
People would be buying it just for it's inclusive ramsinks kot..
Even my cacat half-cut Kingston KVR RAMs can get better result sweat.gif

ANY NEW NEWS TO UPDATE ME??

GATHERING II THREAD IS BEING BUILD, ONCE LAUNCH WILL UPDATE U GUYS thumbup.gif

STAY TURNED!
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
aku x try lagi camna itu gaming ram punye stability laugh.gif

but wat i noe is kvr even u run it normal the timing is 5-5-5-18-24 instead of 5-5-5-18-23.. (*for my case)
so for the max clock can go on stock vDIMM/timing, kvr seem can push few mhz more compare to gaming ram...

the real trail not yet run.. ll do soon nod.gif

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

for members that asking bout 128M y cnt go higher htt, wat i noe is u gotto ply with something call "cpu configuration 0,1,2,3"...etc
*this does help on high htt, and it perform diff result with diff bios version (learned frm my taiko, but he was did it on k8 not k10 nod.gif )
so try it put by own.. ply more to get a better result icon_rolleyes.gif  wub.gif
*
Biostar meh? Abg@sis ah_khoo marah nanti biggrin.gif

I didn't notice bout the timing though, the timing i just left it at auto same as if i were oc'ing my KVR's.. sweat.gif

Regarding the cpu config i tried it b4 when i was using it to o/c my 9850, donno bout other users but as i remember, it doesn't really do much anything playing around with those config's.. hmm.gif

Don't hate the player, hate the game  tongue.gif

Btw, no results yet from me as I'm running close to 2.9Ghz with DDR964@4-4-4 with stock vcore (1.296v stock ker?) and 2.0v for the rams...

I need to beef up cooling as upping to 1.35v vcore will result of an idle temp at 55c.... sad.gif two hours of prime with open sidepanel, close to 70c  shocking.gif

If close side panel even worse...inside case temp reach up to 40c.... rclxub.gif
Still googling for a suitable cooler...should I go for the Thermalright True, IPX-14, CM V8, Xigmatek HDT-S1283, Prolimatech Megahalems or just get me a Sunbeam CCF which is almost half the price but gets the job done definitely nonetheless....
I thought Prolimatech Megahalems cannot be used on AM2+/AM3 socket?? Can eh??

My vote is to the CCF tongue.gif

bro, tu nvidia chipset mobo cikai ke top notch punyer?  :/hmm:

amd 790gx aint cheapo chipset leh, kinda unfair if u compare a 790gx (mid range) board to non 780 board.  :/nod:
since when i become so influential? i'm not sayin that biostar is not gud, they're great as budget board, but pairin a highest end chip w/ a great value board doesn't look match for me. biostar 790gx has weaker pwm if compared to 790fxb, it's ok if mild oc involved, but mid to high oc will constantly stress all d components to their max, so imo it's important to have a board of better built quality, which i personally think 790fxb is. however, there are better board out there in a$u$ m3/4a 79.  ;/)
gamer != overclocker, markettin gimmicks sometimes do work eh?  :/lol:

Hi guys, need some advice....

AMD x2 6000+ 3.1Ghz  VS 7750+BE 2.7Ghz

which one is better ?

can asus m2n-vm support them?
and if need update BIOS, just update the latest version or need 1ver by 1 ver.?
*
Is it Asus M2N-VM DVI or HDMI??

If it's the DVI version according to this it doesn't support Athlon X2 7750BE..
It does support the 6000+ but only the 89W version not the 125W version.. sweat.gif

http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupp...product=1&os=24

While the HDMI version listed the 6500+ support (which basicly is a KUMA cpu) but doesn't list the 7750+ support sweat.gif

http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupp...product=1&os=24

P/S: If it's me i'll choose the 7750 due to the newer architecture smile.gif

i noe it will limit the proc....  but then nex time i can upgrade the mobo as well....
coz now the current mobo is laying at my store and unused since RMAed it... thinking wan to take it out and use it.........

anyway, what is the best proc around RM 200 that suite my mobo?

how if i insist wan to try it with 7750+? can i try my luck on it?
*
Sure why not, there are some forumers who had used non certified mobo for their Phenom II n can still run at stock..
If u know someone who has any of those cpu though u should borrow from em n test 1st ah to be sure..
