I'm using macs in my office and a Hackintosh for personal use.
Unfortunately, using a 3Gs tongue.gif

I'm sure this Cat and Mouse game with DevTeam and Apple will carry on for a very long time.

erm, instead of 'giving' the macbook away, you could have just reinstated the boot camp feature to use windows (xp or vista)

command prompt always said "iRecovery is not recognized as an internal or external command,operable program and batch file"

hmn..that is no way to downgrade 3GS from firmware 3.1 to 3.0 at the moment.. 3GS works by getting sign from Apple signature server base on the iphone unit ECID, or "unique-chip-id".This is where the point that 3GS cannot be jailbreak & also apple sign server does not sign for firmware 3.0 ANYMORE...

Unless previously u did store your ECID SHSH "on file" in Saurik Server... Pls read here

For 3.0 can lah.... 3.1 cannot ! That is y people who had accidentally upgrade to 3.1 via itune is stuck.. Not even they can restore to 3.0 & will need to kiss goodbye to Jail break..

Pls refer to the first page on this thread for the guide on how to JB your Iphone3GS on firmware 3.0..

ya.. thx.. coz i thought needed to do it step by step.. now i just straight run redsnow then is running smoothly d....
lucky i didn't upgrade to 3.1.... last time i simply upgrade my motherboard in the end crash - -" (learned from mistake haha....)

no no , there is 3 section for u to tap , Branch Near U / ATM Near U / treats Privileges Near U , i tap on Branch Near U , m2u show me Nearest will be Section 14 and i was in ss2/75 which is just 3 row shoplot only behind

Bro, am I lucky. When i wanna sync I saw the 3.1 and wanted to do update to 3.1 via itunes and have 2nd thoughts to check out this thread for warnings, and rightly so, cancelled the update. Otherwise I cannot enjoy Cydia. I'll wait for dev team to come up with the goods for JB the 3.1 before updating.

u JB it straight using redsnow without the step of restoring using itune to iPhone2,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw 1st??
