How to put your iPhone in recovery mode :

1. Turn the device completely off and disconnect it from cable/dock.
2. Hold down the home button.
3. While holding down the home button connect to a computer with a cable (easiest) or dock.
4. Keep holding down the home button until you see a connect-to-itunes screen You are now in recovery mode.

To escape Recovery Mode and power the phone off simply hold down power and home buttons for ten seconds.

How to put your iPhone in DFU mode :

1. Connect your iPhone to your computer.
2. Turn iPhone off.
3. Hold power and home together for 10 seconds (exactly).
4. Release power but keep holding home until the computers beeps (observed on a PC) as a USB device is recognized.
5. A few seconds later iTunes should detect your iPhone.
6. If the Restore Logo is present on the screen, you are in Recovery Mode, not DFU.

can.. no problem.. but u need to use macbook to JB lo.. bcoz pwnagetool able to JB without upgrade the baseband

i wanted to jailbreak my iphone 3gs which i just bought it last week.
but i read forums it said need to plug in to pc in order to restart the phone.
what happened is i din do so?
will the jailbreak gone or my phone cant start?

My advice is.. Before decide to JB by using the below guide.. It is very important to understand your 3GS in term of
1.) What is the BOOTROM ver ? (this determine your 3GS a true JB or theather JB)
2.) Is your 3GS is official unlock set? (this determine if u need to run Blacksnow or not)

Don't just blindly follow the steps if u don't understand your devices.. Else, u will be in trouble.. Just my 2 cents..

Can we use custom firmware 3.1.2 download to maintain baseband 04.28.06..

yes. just download a already JB'ed custom 3.1.2 firmware (which preserves your BB at 4.26.08). just google for one. but do make sure it's the correct firmware & does retain your firmware at 4.26.08 rather than upgrading it. came across plenty of links which provides so-called 'custom firmwares' when they are the official ones from Apple.

hey guys..i try to jailbreak my 3gs..but its not working..the blackrain not appear in my iphone..what should i do?

yeah.. same with me.. im using 3g maxis set, firmware 3.1.2 bl 5.11.. tried many ways n still not working.. even try to rain it in dfu mode also seems unsuccessful.. the geohot logo didnt appear, just the normal logo appear then it went blank, waiting to reboot.. am i missing any crucial steps?? anybody can help?

forgot to update here with my old iphone 2g calling network case .
neway heres some update .

already tried restoring from scratch
the result is the same thing . IT CANT CALL OUT !
only can received sms , sent sms and received call ..
tried already reseting the network . but the problem still occurs

probably the iphone is faulty edi . aih
returning back the phone to the owner today .
if anyone having the same experience like this do share .
