yes...u need stock 3.1.2 FW and JB it using blackra1n...

i realised that if u reboot, or shut down ur iPhone after this blackra1n, will need to boot with blackra1n or else cannot start.

this is annoying

Sounds like your IPhone has the new bootroom and now what you have is a tethered jailbreak

i got the new 3GS which comes 3.1, i updated to 3.1.2 then blackra1n.

so tethered jailbreak is not good? will there be a fix for this in future or is there a quick solution for now?

It appears some users are having wifi issues. Try a "Reset Network Settings" Also, this just enables custom MobileConfig files. To fully enable tethering, go here on your iPhone and download a MobileConfig file for your carrier. Watch out for carrier fees for tethering.

Lol, the human body is fascinating.. I woke up automatically at 1am our time last night.. because I wanted to unlock my wife's IPhone for her and I was sleepy so I couldn't wait till 1am...

Everything worked fine, except initially had some problems with Wi-Fi not detecting my home network.. but after a reset, it worked fine.

For people who are using networks not supporting 3G please remember to turn it off, else it might take a while to find your signal and sometimes go to No Service
