Hi,welcome to Blackberry world bro. For the blackberry battery, its normal that battery finish for 1 day. Sometimes,if you are using for BIS,it only can last for half day. But, for storm 2, some people said that it can last for 20 hours in heavy usage. About your wifi, i am not sure bro, maybe other user have same experience

Just to share.....

normally at home i charge full and let the wifi run from around 7PM till 7AM (save on my BIS since i subscribed to 10MB package now)

battery still have either full bar / less 1 bar only (usage for emails 90%, 5% chatting, 5% browsing)

at off most of the time connected to laptop via USB...so shld be ok...

so far it can last me more than a day (few calls - not more than 20minsper call) and emails....

but 1 thing good about the charger is it took short time to fully recharged.....so that is good...

hey noob question.

i plan to get a BB 9700. but its from a fellow forumer so it wont come with the BIS. is BIS essential to a blackberry? cos in my mind, without BIS, a blackberry just seems like a normal phone.

do advice. notworthy.gif

Have been using Seidio batt since my Android G1 and now got one 1750mAH with BB9700 (OS .545).
Definitely no problem at all. Positive result from me.

BIS comes not with the phone but with your network line. BIS is essential if you want to use the data applications such as BlackBerry Messenger and etc.

Yup, normal phone that can only connect to WiFi.

You can still use 3G internet to surf, but it is MUCH slower...and MUCH more expensive.

If you prepaid user, your credit will burn.
