how can i remove or change the "activation required" thing from my screen?
secondly how come i cannot get the 3G maxis settings via *136# >.<
storm 2 user here..

type ##111111 send,than on the first line erase the numbers and put your phone number instead than save.The phone will reboot and the ACTIVATION REQUIRED is gone and the name of the carrier will be displayed.

i tried but it says invalid password = =
any idea?

Try... ## 00 00 00....then change to 123456789...then it'll reboot..then repeat the steps again, this time change to ur mobile no. 01x-xxx xxxx...it worked for me,
btw ur BIS activated? EDGE or 3G in big caps?

my BIS not activated... havent get it >< not at the moment also xD
now i dun have 3g from Maxis..
only manage to get edge in small caps ><
any idea how to get maxis 3G??

Ohh..wait lor, check wif Maxis when will BIS be activated? Once activated edge or 3g will be in big caps!

U cant perform anything until BIS is activated...

is the bb when get virus from pc become delay ?

Delay are usually cost by memory leaked. Are u using any leaked OS?

hi, i am using maxis bis previously and now i just register my digi blackberry plan and i insert my digi sim into my bold but it keep showing SOS. what should i do? tq

Not sure bout the Virus thingy but you can try the alt+right shift+ del key to perform a soft reset, after rebooting can you check the speed of your device again?

I think your digi sim card havent activated yet. Call digi and ask them to activate for ya

hi, awfully noob here,

1. when you asked if BIS is activated (i just got my unit from Maxis, and I haven't received a message (btw is this a email message or SMS message?))
but I can see the word "edge" near the signal bar.

2. I'm following the manual to setup the email, in the manual it says that there are 2 options, A) I want to create or add an email address, and B) I want to use a work email account with a BES. But I don't see the first option. Is this related to my first question that my BIS account isn't activated yet?

I'm using the 8520 Curve by the way, Prepaid account for 6 months. Im quite confused here, I didn't get much info from the snob Maxis rep

U notice the edge word..tell me, issit small cap "edge" (Not-Activated) or big cap "EDGE" (Activated)...u cant do anything until its in big cap!

Actually, I can do something, I have had actually browsed a few pages, but my 1 month balance now is around 2 RM which was supposed to be around 50 i think.

That is because u are using the telco data serivce. Not BIS.

Be patience..if not u end up paying a lot of topups

Disable the APN . U drain your credit for all the data svs.

but while i press the BB button for a long time to pop up the active programs there's a browser, but when i click in... i got the following message:

"Your device does nto currently have any Browser Configuration Service Book Entries, please contact your service provider to enable the broser on your device."

but the problem is.. i've been surfing the net with browser through wireless for the pass few days and now only got this problem = =

any idea?
