It's the exact same scape...

How about this.. take a notice at the 2nd smallest far left rock.. The one enar the filter inlet.. An angled picture would show something else.. while a direct front picture shows another face of the rock..

Notice both is the same rock.. but How it compliments each other is a major key in scaping.. From the angled shot.. that particular rock looks buldgy .. Direct shot.. it looks like it is inline with the rockscape.

Sheesh how am I gonna put this in words..

The sand is SeaChem's Flourite Black Sand.. not a very economical way of purchasing soil.. but A deal with you is a deal..

I did mention before.. do not expect them to perform as well as the ADA counterparts... though they are 'cleaner' .. won't cause a spike to the nutrient levels if accidentally stirred like mad..

Still, even if you have ADA soil.. you still need to dose fertilizers to make your plants very happy..

Dry Dosing Brighty K or Step 1/2 if you're up to ADA line.. If SeaChem line.. NPK.. (3 bottles..- Nitrogen, Phosphorus(phosphate), Pottasium(K) )

I think you can get away with it also with lots and lots of those JBL fertz.. though i haven't tried them myself.. Yujin, any suggestions for him??

Just my 2 cents.

I believe it's shirakura i think..

and tenchi,

The shop at Bkt Jambul is known as advance reef a.k.a. Goay Ent.. they distribute SeaChem Products troughout Malaysia smile.gif

A suggestion of any LFS on the Mainland(not the island) who bring in any pottash for our friend playerseeker would do lol.

Hope this helps,
Drew

They're the same.. the difference is in the colour. Even if they do cross breed, the brood that comes from that would be 50/50 in colour.. 50% of the brood is red based.. the others is black... Of course the percentage isn't always 50%.. it depends on the strength of the dominant gene LOL...

Correct me if i'm wrong yujin, all the while I'm keeping reds.. so not much experience here.

@catacombs,

well, of course, it's the matter of preference. Just in case you get conned by any LFS... It is the CBS who existed first... then they do selective breeding to get red from it. smile.gif

Should be fine mixing them..

Something about those wood I dislike.. I'm not sure what tongue.gif

Oh in case I forget.. Riccia is not like our everyday plants.. a bit like moss you can say.. it does not have roots. therefore you cannot plant it in the soil like any other plant..

And no, you don't NEED NET to plant.. you can use string also tongue.gif

@ catacombs,

for the root fertilizer.. I believe they all work.. though personally I am either using the ADA Iron bottom or Multi bottom, Seachem rootTabs.. But i believe the JBL or the Azoo ones in the market work well as well!( if you're on budget.)

Since your tank is not 100% Aquasoil ( I believe.. or is it.. coz i think i read that you have some holland sand in the bottom?? correct me if im wrong.) It is advisable to do this..

as for 100% ADA aquaoil user.. you can go without these root fertilizers for 6months to 1 year at least..!

Drew

Added on July 15, 2009, 10:18 pmThey give that extra 'boost' your plants need.. but know what you're doing.. if your sil is already highly fertilized.. no point adding it so early.. adding too much leads to an algae outbreak on the other hand LOL
