why do people always aim to study overseas instead of aiming to study in a good university overseas? it's like they want to study overseas only cos it;s nice. If i have the choice I would like to study in UBC or RCM.

It is not only getting the right university but it is exposure you get. You will get to meet with other ppl from others countries and exchange ideas of culture. Europe have great history in terms of building, arts and other. Therefore it is not only becoz of nice.

To me, the answer is simply to gain exposure. The diverse culture, living and working styles and the different way to prepare food are some good reasons to go out from our comfort zone and get exposed.

In Asia, we work from 9am to 10pm (sometimes even 12 midnight). Overtime is not a big deal. It is like part of our culture. In Europe, if the working hours are 9-5, everyone leaves at 5pm. It is odd to find someone works overtime for free especially until midnight.

I encourage those who can afford to go out to learn. There is something to learn out there, not from our textbooks.

A cheap working holiday can help 1 to gain just as much exposure vs a student without spending an arm and a leg.
have tons of $$, family not waiting for U to bring home any $$,feel free do so what U want.
need to take a loan, think twice in today's Econ.

Hi there,

expenses will be around about 40-50 pounds per week depending where ar you shopping. Accomodation is a fluctuation item therefore it is not included.
