I got quoted michelin PS3 225/45/17 RM550 each and 245/40/17 RM780 each.

Anyone know if there is other place I can get cheaper price?

Thanks.

Call this guy: Albert from Lim Tayar (Hartamas). 0122346123. Ask him the price for each tyre. If his price is higher than yours, ask him if he can do it for RM 500 and RM 730 for each type or not. Im sure he will be able to. Lim Tayar has got good margins on tyres theus they can offer better rates if you can 'push' them hard enuf.

Places like Lim Tayar and Tyrezone function on 1 principle. They cannot offer lower tyre prices without you asking for it first. Usually their first quote will be expensive but when u tell them X place is offering Y price, they will usually match or go lower.

Give me your name and ill call Albert and ask him to give u a better price.

(p/s: Im not affliated with any tyre shop ok...just a customer like you biggrin.gif )

I believe the 185/60/R14 is not the premium Michelin. Its another sub brand of Michelin which is priced cheaper. Im not sure of the name.

But i think that your price is still high. With the introduction of the XM2, the pricing for XM1 is now lower. I managed to get 175/65/R14 XM2 for RM 175 (inclusive of valves, balancing and allignment for 4 tyres) before the XM2 was launched. But i opted for the XM2 later for RM 200 each.

You can get them from Lim Tayar at Hartamas or TTDI branches. If ure interested, then PM me your name and ill let Albert know u will be calling him. Hopefully ull be able to get a better price. My recommendation would be XM2 not XM1.
