Is this price ok ah? smile.gif

This is kenari size right? i am looking for it too. asked a shop in ipoh, Wing Cheong, quoted rm138 for silverstone powerblitz 1800. wouldn't want to get this as i find it very hard and bad grip. now surveying for other options.

I've been reading back a couple of pages. In case some of you did not notice, this is a tire price thread. It's an avenue for people to post the latest tire prices they've experienced so that others can have a reference point on market prices. Not to discuss about tires, sizes, which is better, etc.

The tire discussion thread is over here:-

Ive been using Michelin XM1 since 2009 and found the tyres to be a huge improvement from my previous Goodyear NCT 5. It has better road holding, much quieter and better braking capabilities.

Now ive just changed to the newly launched XM2 which has better durability and water dispersement capabilities. The tyre threads on the XM2 are also deeper and bigger.

I changed my XM2 at Lim Tayar TTDI for RM 200 per piece (inclusive of valves, balancing and allignment). My tyre size is 175/65/R14. I think you may be able to negotiate better prices elsewhere but make sure the tyres are not old stock. If you want XM1 tyres, you can easily get them for RM 175 each.

Silverstone is considered lower range brand. If u want good tyres but at a reasonable price, then go for Michelin XM2. Not sure if got your size but you can check it out. Ull get better road holding, braking efficiency and the tyres last quite long. I used XM1 since 2009 and till now the tyre is still usable with more than enough thread depth. XM2 is supposed to be better.

yeap, i would like to get XM2 if there is size. a quick check in michelin website shows there is no 165/55/14. not much choices for kenari size though..sad.gif
i am also a strong supporter of michelin (& hankook), using PS3 on my primary car now.

Some tyre sizes are not mentioned on the website but are also available. Best you call up Lim Tayar or Tyrezone and check.

I think PS3 is more of a performance tyre while the XM2 is for more general use.
