Yes those 4 digits are the manufacture date. The first 2 digits refer to the week number and the last 2 digits are the year. So 1611 would mean the 16th week in 2011 which would be around early April 2011.

Yes,the boss said only can give me this price until early of June 2011. Just bought the tyres today and the boss told me the tyres were made in this year. How to check by own the manufacturing date? i saw 4 digits on the sidewall which are 1611. Already PM to you.

Best tyre usually cost you a lot.
My option, Brigdestone consider one of the best already.
If you can quote me your budget then I can find a suitable tyre brand for you. But will usually cost RM320 and above.
Below RM300 can go for Dunlop

need some advices here... my Wira with stock 13" steel rims currently is using 4 pcs of Michelin XM1 for near 3 years. Now already use till the tyre wear indicator.
I am planning to replace all of the 4 tyres all together but not sure which one to go for? The old XM1 or Goodyear Duraplus?

Also might consider changing to alloy sport rims at size of 14" to 15". Any rims recommended and cheap?
