Because it is not meant to place close to your ear and to the wall. And it is "huge" on table.

You can definitely use it as a desktop speaker (as I saw some of them did) if you can place it behind your desk. It will def sound awesome.

I have spoken to Keith from Emotiva. He told me UMC-200 is faster than UMC-1 in hdmi handshaking and hence the the drop out is minimal (not 0%). I have replaced my UMC-1 hdmi board recently, and I have noticed that the drop out is a shortwhile than my old board.

Definitely, will wait til umc-200 goes down to a good price buy before I commit one. But it is a really good processor on the market right now.

i played many games got dolby 5.1 and dts too
it is written behind the disc cover
actually u need AV receiver with hdmi lossless audio decoding to enjoy real ps4, becos optical output cannot do dolby trueHD or DTS MA

btw, u wont be much using that ud100 anymore after having AVR which function as external DAC as well.

Was hoping to get the XMC-1

Yeah, Xmc-1 is triple the price, but does it deliver 3x performance? Maybe because of this they still keep it under development in hope to offer something for its price. To me, umc-200 with 5 monoblock will be my goal for this route. ThenI will go higher with speaker, hopefully open baffle.

Where's your hometown? Pioneer Andrew Jones series actually not bad for the movie.. Sen Heng or SenQ selling for RM299 for last year HTP-AJ3222. This year HTP-AJ3223 some RM100 more expensive if I remember correctly

God of War 3 has 7.1 audio. Just have to ensure your receiver is powered up and your PS3 is connected to it via HDMI. Go through the audio setup process again, and the surround options for your PS3 games will be made visible.

Even if SenQ at Bintang don't have the stock, can always place the order but the problem will be the audition to see if the sound is what you're looking for. Alternatively if you're looking for smaller speaker, then might consider Pioneer VSX-523 with the Infinity speakers.

oh ok.. i have actually tested the infinity before, it sounded thin compare to their bigger infinity primus brother ( which i bought primus later for my living room). The new and old model got difference? or only the receiver difference? How do u rate this aj series compare to infinity?

Only change was the receiver.. Of course I will take AJ series if I have the space but AJ series at RM2999 was package with the most basic Pioneer AVR VSX-322 or 323
I'm from Bintulu but Sen Heng here told me they can order watever they don't display and usually it's quite fast if others branch in Sabah/Sarawak have stock. Else they have to wait for the stock shipment from KL. I actually can place my order with other dealer out there with roughly 20% off the Pioneer RRP.. So, some model will have better pricing compared to SenQ or Sen Heng but not the AJ3222 series

oh ok.. i went to SenQ today to do a brief audit.. tried the andrew jones series, it doesnt sparkle but it does the job. i really love infinity TSS-500, it does sounded more detail and better feeling, it sounded bright, but not harsh. there is another pioneer set dont know which model, around 2.6k or 2.8k, sounded very harsh. i believe infinity is a better buy compared to andrew jones, maybe becos the receiver does makes a difference? infinity using pioneer 822k while AJ 322 or 323k.

sometimes higher range AVR give more neutral sounding pick 822K anytime
