I see, nola, I had options of choosing between this tv or a projector, but then I realised projector needs darker area right, and mine is in the living room, so, the tv should be a much wiser choice. the sony e290 player has 1 hdmi output but not sure about setting to stream out the audio/video to avr. u're rite that the speakers have special connector to the player. question, can I cut the connector and use the loose end wire to connect it to avr ? anyone tried this before ? tq

plan to upgrade my sony S190 to better player, but I found most of the BD player has only one HDMI output, as we know HDMI carries both video and HD audio, then how should I connect player to amp and TV?

Just want to share the following facts with you guys:

1. Bought a NAD T748 AV receiver in October 2011, and set up for use in December 2011.

2. T748 stopped working in January 2013, sent back for repair. Learned that it is 2-years warranty in Singapore for NAD products but in Malaysia it's only 1-year.

3. As of today after more than 5 months, the technician still has no fxxxing idea as to the cost of parts and repair, when parts will be available, and when the repair can be done.

Yup! the speaker are very nice and received lot of good review . Must go listen when I'm free.

also i did install dark velvet cloth around my room to absorb the light from projector and man the projector really shine after installing the velvet cloth as advise by anfieldude bro.

I will be installing a HW50ES with Grandview 120" fixed screen on this weekend along with a high-end HT system. 

front wall didnt do it but maybe in future for now the current setting is ok for me.

With 8 feet, you need about 80" to 90" screen to give you field of view of 40-45 degrees...perfect for movies.
