sharing a pic of HT setup(line array loudspeaker) i built for a good fren of mine

Max, My PC12NSD is already causing 'wars' at home already la with my HM and kids.

Now Im trying hard to find a reason to take one room for HT.tough battle coz 4 + 1 room and only 3 left..1 is my study so left 1 upstairs or 1 downstairs (abt 11.5.' x 8' x 10' lwh)..too small I think for my svs and f2 + s2 combo and at 11.5' don't think make any sense to go PJ maybe get another 60" or 65" plasma. Btw, will my Klipsch F2 floor stand n PC be too huge for such small room ? I want to invest on acoustic treatment or absorbers if need to coz i think the room too small sure will reflect soundwave like crazy..hehe

Upstairs room or even upstairs family room with doors much bigger but will Be a challenge coz the vibration will reach master room at night so I'm in a dilemma now left with a small room / store downstairs.

not really..after being thru a diff kind of HT setup, noticed the biggest culprit is the AVR pre or AV pre/proc.
the AV preamp stage has yet to match the hifi pre..
solution:
1. run hifi n HT in a single system. but stereo listening has its own dedicated source and preamp.
external power amp shared by HT n Hifi. to do so, amp must have double input(balanced & unbalanced)

or
2. venture into more premium AV pre/proc. but according to some of sifu dealers, still cant beat a hifi pre. yet to experience a better AV pre/proc

err..baidewey...which amp has the ht bypass?any entry level got this option?

Avr left and right pre out to int amp line in. Then connect spkrs to int amp.

When you want to use bypass, just press the ht bypass button on int amp

Want to ask,how to have audio from my AVR if I watch youtube via smartTV? The sound only came out from the TV speaker instead of my AVR

Hi guys. I realize this might not be the right thread. But I cant seems to find a HT audio recommendation thread.

I would like to find a 5.1 audio system to connect to my TV via optical. Budget is small.. around 1.5k.

So u mean ship all the way from outside malaysia, with all the taxes and shipping fee, i dont think it is cheaper. well normally HTiB are like those philips, samsung, panasonic, sony etc etc.. onkyo will pair their receiver with their branded speaker.

I believe anything below RM500 will not get tax. After that I don't think luck will help

yeah, hopefully no tax also haha.. btw what AVR should i be looking at for entry lvl ?
