QUOTE(Russell225 @ Jun 3 2011, 04:14 PM) how to improve my sheet music reading. i have trouble memorizing the notes in the sheet music I guess you read note by note. It is too slow. In fact you should train your eyes to recognise the interval. Judge the distance. Let your fingers to feel it. |

= = who ask you to memorize it? Just practice practice and practice, repeat and repeat, and try to listen to the whole pieces again and again

Let your fingers to feel it. yup, this is the easiest way to read - see the directions of the note - going up? down? how many steps?and there're other techniques on sight reading, which is best left it for a proper teacher to guide. |

amersnap, if you can't find it anywhere by googling, it probably means that it's not existed and members here most likely don't have it either.
when you want to request someone to transcribe it for you, good chance is that you won't be satisfied because the transcription is not accurate, or "doesn't sound like the song" as how you mentioned above. and if you want to have accurate transcription, it's most probably a paid job, done by professionals. almost nobody will want to do such transcription for free, even for practice purpose. you can wait until someone transcribe it 100% accurate for you, but why not spend the time transcribe it yourself too? you'll learn more, and it'll be an exclusive and unique transcription. |

Just practice practice and practice, repeat and repeat, and try to listen to the whole pieces again and again practice, and repeat also is a type of memorization technique.. i see a good pianist can play while reading the sheet (not memorizing).. |

My sight reading did not used to be that good either. But after I had passion for it, it just became better. Passion and Interest are also ways to advance your piano technique and skills.

QUOTE(quikstep @ Apr 12 2011, 11:29 PM) No how can that be Chopin's? This ain't Classic nor Romanticism. And there is not full piano. Chopin's work are all based on PianoAdded on June 7, 2011, 10:48 pm QUOTE(liez @ Apr 13 2011, 10:36 PM) Sounds like music composed just for the purpose relaxing spa effect. I got one whole stack of music like this...from forest to woods to water to etc.... All are simple composition and you can easily listen to it and play on the piano if you got good ears and perfect pitch. well, I am trying to say... Its not a classical piece, its a pop. like those yiruma and richard clayderman play and for this particular piece, you can hardly find the piece.... coz its styles sounds like the piece was used solely as a spa music and nothing more including pieces for students/pianist. maybe to look for this piece, you have to contact the company that produce this album(water spa music kinda album) and ask for it.... they wont simply give you anyway. Agreed!so the only way is to listen to it and try to play on the piano. Those special effects made the song sounds alot nicer but its a simple piece that can be compose in 1 day.
