Appointment needed?

I normally go to Sumber and 222 service centre.. they have numbers for appointment and non appointments.

If go to Mofaz around 9am, normally can finish by noon?

Yup, they have booking and non-booking too. I normally will book the service on weekend, not sure on weekdays

I know that if the day is fully booked, they will not service for walk-in customer

The early one start from 7.45am, usually took me 2 hour to finished the service

Global Amity Bangi have very good service! Easy access and smooth sailing. Got snacks, drinks and cinema room. You won't get bored while waiting for your car to finish. Or you can just walk a bit to Warta (like a lot if you are not a fan of walking) to eat or shop. Polite workers, they even explain in details what they are going to do and when will your next service should be. Overall, 4 thumbs up! Including my toes hahahaha!

Most importantly, when they said 1 hour, it's 1 hour sharp that they gave you a call to tell you that your car is ready.

My 1st experience at HZN Glenmarie SC(regular SC is Ban Chu Bee, Kota Bharu)

3-sept-2016 (saturday)
Appointment: 11.30 am, waiting time 10 mins due to weekend. Crowded.

Major Service 80k km + Airbag replacement.

>> Many parking lots in the premise, gated and with security guards.
>> Free car wash, free nitrogen (currently using nitrogen). Don't know free or not for the case if currently using compressed air.
>> You can ask service advisor the estimated cost and he will shows the parts including price. Then he will gives you the printable copy of those invoice. In my case, RM791+GST (city 5th gen).
>> Service advisor very polite, fast service even he is a newly hired employee.
>> You can see the foreman service car from inside the waiting room.
>> Food lounge. Free cookies and drinks (hot black/white coffee, milo, teh tarik & a Coway with hot+cold.can refill any cups you want). Free nasi lemak too but limited quantity.
>> Play area for kids (mini slide and swing, books, table+chair like at the kindergarten).
>> Fast internet. I run speedtest, download up to 46Mbps.
>> Movies at waiting room.
>> Free one-way shuttle around Shah Alam and Subang. I came from Kuala Lipis. Driver sent me to hotel seksyen 19. SC call me at 4.45pm to pick up the car.
>> Go to payment counter, pay with the same amount. Take service booklet, stamped invoice, and a pass which need to submit to security guard at main entrance.

The conclusion, either my wife or i were very pleased.
Thank you for reading. Hope my writing will help someone who's surveying the SC.

Done 40k km service on weekend at Setia Alam Sc, shah alam.

Once received the invoice etc, ask sc to send me to Setia Alam mall. Enjoy there for 2 hours, then get pickup by them to sc, car is done 😎

Guys, anyone have any idea on combustion carbonize cleaning? Well, the sc included the service into my bill. I'm wondering if it's necessary to perfom. Anyone have any ideas why and when to perfom?

Anyone has good recommendation on trustworthy and reliable Honda Civic repair centre. my Civic 2011 1.8 has got some problem with front absorber and suspension. I researched on website, most likely is absorber and suspension spoilt. When i drive thru bump, my car front (dashboard and engine area) vibrating so much and like got knocking sound onto my floor. Very painful to hear the sound. Anyone experience this before?

Also, if got such problem, how much does it cost to repair the said problem? Thx for providing advice.

Yes i believe so too. It feels like the engine gonna drop to the floor when passing thru bump or uneven road. Any ways to check or diagnose it? any good repair centre recommended?

If u go to any honda sc, they will check it and give u quotation for replacement of the mounting. Be it engine or transmission or both mounting.

go for your regular mechanic, they can give u which one need for replacement and u can search at any spare part shop. Guess can save u around 20-30% for the price parts

Thanks for your useful info. I checked back on record, in fact those parts were changed about 1.5 year ago. That parts worn out pretty fast in this case (already run 60,000km after change). Wonder if this is normal for other civic driver out there.

Went to HZN Glenmarie for my 1k inspection service. Had a pleasure breakfast there, staff was friendly, response was fast, environment was clean & comfy. Being told that will have free car wash & vacuum, but found that carpet was still dirty & car body still with dust, suspect car wash & vacuum were not done.

Honda 3S centre nowadays have all been upgraded in facility to deliver better customer experience, esp during waiting time (free food & drinks & WIFI etc)
Perhaps except of few SC, generally they are quite similar in existence. Reason being all of them are guided by SOP & so is all the parts prices are controlled too. Of course, those aged 3s centre may not as big as those new ones around for merely less than 3-5 yrs. New ones obviously stand out to be preferred choice than old ones.

The only improvement Honda SC should have is to reduce waiting time. Very often, a lot of SC still required customer to drop the car whole day even just for normal servicing, esp on weekdays (E.g Sumber Auto is one that need whole day for sure).

Of course, another area that we may find hard to accept is the labour charges. They do not need to provide normal service to Honda CRV for 2.8 hrs, but system is pre-set for all the car models in terms of man-service-hour, to determine labor charge.

Side note: there are some 3S open on Sunday as well. This could relieve those who can't service their car from Monday-Sat due to commitment.
