i juz got my moshi clearguard today

no wonder this keyboard protector is more expensive than the rest. the texture is very grippy (my capdase was very smooth, quite annoying to type on). also it fits better. the colour also more see through...at certain angles silicone ones cannot see the lettering hehe need to on backlight ;p

speck casing is kinda cool... but kinda scared it will break easily since it's plastic....
*
plastic is good ma...ductile material. plus it's quite thick. juz careful when u want to take it out, the clamps so easy to break sad.gif

but then better the speck break rather than macbook break right??

hey, I wonder do you guys apply invisible shield / inviskin on your macbook ? ... I feel like my mbp is so vulnerable without any protection . I bought foofbag as sleeve and I usually put that into my backpack.

Do you guys think I need invisible shield or inviskin to avoid scratches ?

Added on April 20, 2010, 7:46 ami dont like hard case as it ruin the beauty of mac =/

Added on April 20, 2010, 7:47 amAlso, I wish I could only buy the bottom part of the invisible shield as I feel tats the only part needed protection +_+
*
im using invisible shield. very good stuff...juz at the corners for the lid quite hard to apply because of the tapered shape.

juz buy the whole set, n keep the one for the top lid. u can use that as screen protector for ur other gadgets hehehe. like me, i dun use the palmrest since i already use moshi palmguard. so im using the IS film as screen protector for my camera

then the moshi guard will not be that rubbery is it? i touch the invisible shield in iphone before.. it is like some kind of grip..
i m not worry on removing.. i m more worry on applying tho tongue.gif sked the solution flow inside the MBP.. and i see the website suggest 24 hours dont use ur MBP after apply.. how to tahan 24 hours?  doh.gif  doh.gif
*
moshi palmguard is smooth, nice feeling smile.gif one tip though, when u apply it, dont bend it too much. u may create whitish marks at the creases, but it's only visible under bright sunlight tongue.gif i managed to install mine fine though

about IS, i started with the sides 1st. juz get the feeling on how to install. use as much solution as possible biggrin.gif i just leave it to dry overnight...true wut, how to tahan 24hrs, if i got another computer nvm la tongue.gif

QUOTE(jasperng @ Apr 21 2010, 01:22 AM)
okok I shall buy the whole set as now they are having promotion up to 50% discount !! nice !

I dont plan to use the palm rest as I think it will make the surface become rough ... and not smooth anymore.. same goes to the trackpad... i think it will reduce the sensitivity.

Added on April 21, 2010, 1:23 am

Omg  cant we turn on the mbp after applying IS ??? -.- how to survive seriously.

Added on April 21, 2010, 1:25 amAlso, if touchwood , there is scratch on mbp ... any solution to mitigate the scratches ? =/ just wondering
*
wow 50% discount? very nice!

yes the palmguard surface is not as smooth as the aluminium body. i dun mind though, my last MBP the palmrest full of scratches because of my wristwatch +_+ about the trackpad, it increases the friction but about sensitivity, feels the same to me

haha thats why i dont wear watch when  i use laptop ...

I see some pics of moshi palmrest. I realised that after applying that you wont able to completely close the macbookpro .. tehre will be a gap at the middle part just below the trackpad.
*
i dun have this problem :S the gap looks the same to me all over

well, IS no protection for corners, zero protection against shock. if case, u drop macbook... at least there's a chance that the case will absorb the impact n shatter..rather than make ur macbook dent

whatever u do, dun use both tongue.gif
