I eat in front of my laptop. so yeah, keyboard protector needed tongue.gif

if u're gonna get one, get the moshi clearguard. other keyboard protectors, those made of silicon, the texture and fitting makes it hard to type fast. using the moshi for me no difference

Capdase Breather is excellent too. Fits the keyboard perfectly with vent holes for heat to escape. The Switcheasy I tried at the shop was terrible though. Horribly thick silicone n doesn't even fit the keyboard nicely. It's like a big fat carpet sitting on top of the keyboard.

I got the Capdase in smoked color, very nice as it hides the alphabets nicely without affecting the backlight when u need it. While surfing in public places can key in passwords without ppl seeing what we're typing on the smoked keyboard.

i was using the capdase breather before. the texture too smooth for me, feel like no grip when typing tongue.gif

the fact that it hides the alphabets is nice. but it hides the keyboard backlit key too...until now i havent memorize which key is that haha

Is there anything full body case but instead of hard plastic it's a rubber..
*
im not sure if that's a good idea

rubber is a heat insulator. it'll just trap the heat, making ur macbook even hotter compared to being naked

if u want to protect the speck cover, buy a cheap sleeve. DO NOT buy a nice, expensive sleeve, because then you'll want to protect the sleeve tongue.gif

Hi. I was just wondering, since one of LYP's Mac retailers was offering a Mac 15'' 2.4GHz Intel Core i5 with either (a) an AVF mouse + carrying case or (b) capdase keyboard protector, which would be the better choice?

Also, how much would be a fair price for Speck See-Thru Satin case?
If I'm not mistaken, the normal Speck See-Thru is cheaper, so is the See-Thru Satin just for show, or does it have extra benefits. If there is a case with a better deal, a recommendation is also welcome, but pls be something available from LYP.

Another thing, I heard good reviews for the Logitech 470 mouse. A little off topic but, does the good feedback apply to all of Logitech mice, since I was thinking of getting a USB mouse, as I'm scared turning on my bluetooth will sap my energy.

Sorry if I'm asking repeated question etc., but pls reply ASAP as I am thinking of heading over after dinner. A thousand thanks.

for the carrying case + mouse or keyboard protector...i would go for the keyboard protector. i hv a feeling the carrying case n AVF mouse is gonna look really cheap tongue.gif juz like any other AVF stuff n free cases.

yes the satin is just for show, no extra benefits. not sure how much is it right now.

logitech is a reputable mice manufacturer. the v470 is probably the cheapest bluetooth laser mouse around, and performs well as far as BT mice goes. if u wanna get a USB mouse, can look for reputable brands like logitech, razer or steelseries. u can also get a hybrid USB+bluetooth mouse like the razer orochi brows.gif

i guess u've had ur dinner already tongue.gif

wah....getting my sleeve front amazon today,,,,and hoping to get speck for my mbp 13 soon...those who are using speck...how is it..???whats your rating???
*
it's pretty good, juz have to take it out n clean dust off it once in a while. but MBPs with speck cant fit into some sleeves since it's quite thick.

afaik the only hybrid mice are the razer mamba n razer orochi. orochi is better suited for MBP la since it's smaller...and cheaper tongue.gif

not sure about bags. i like belkin brand, okay price (rm100-250) n looks quite nice.

^ about the screen colour (i assume u mean RGB noise?) most matte-type SP got that side effect because of the adhesive. im using capdase SP n got that issue too, but less la compared to even cheaper brands

i use an SP just because i cant stand the glossy screen tongue.gif

glass is already hard enough if u're worried abt scratches

i agree with crumpler stuff, good but very expensive. furthermore the KLCC store always no stock of the popular models, n tend to keep old models around (some are even dirty already). try garage sales smile.gif
