it might be old but it isn't exactly cap ayam..it's just that you're trying to connect a well, pc (or mac) to a tv! tongue.gif) anyways, is the current hdmi cable you're using >2m long? there're two things you could try that'd be more cost efficient.

1. trying a better grade hdmi cable, a good 1m belkin cable would cost you around rm90~ or so.

2. hdmi to dvi or vga plug head! (usually comes free with asus gpu's, not too sure about other brands

i'd recommend trying the second route and ghettoing it out first. don't rush on getting a new monitor, imo.

just registered to help you guys out as I once had a similar problem connecting a windows pc to my p2370hd, its in the settings of the monitor:
In the menu --> input --> sources --> select HDMI and then press extra and set the HDMI device name to pc, this way the monitor doesn't apply overscan and the image should be normal.

hope this can help you

Thank you very much! The settings were different from mine, but I think the main problem was the monitor being set to AV instead of PC. I changed this, and now the clarity is much clearer!

tu la. belum apa apa dah cakap your old samsung cap ayam. ada ke!

you mean colour profile?

system pref > displays > colour tab. you could do a minor calibration but usually choosing the right colour profile does the trick.

anyways xandman, when you said that the led doesn't light up do you mean when it first starts up or when it's in sleep mode?

I might be off but shouldn't the light just be on when it first starts up and pulsates when its in sleep mode?

also, while coz has always been ridiculously fast, I've always opted for crucial ._.

hold up hold up. isn't the led just a power indicator? as in it has nothing to do with the ir receiver, right?

hello all bros

thinkin to upgrade my mbp2010 ram.

wanna ask what is the best ram for my 2010 mbp.

1066 vs 1333 got differences?

which one is the best corcair , kingston , munchkin but value for money since im a student. tq
*
your macbook pro uses a pc3-8500 ddr3 1066 mhz type ram. if you were to install a 1333mhz type ram it would simply be clocked down to 1066mhz. any of those brands you've mentioned would do. i got the kta range of rams from kingston for my 2010 mbp. kta would be the "for mac" range, but on my early 2011 mbp i used the kvr range which works just fine as well.

I myself is using 2 sticks of KVR (2x4GB) and it works charm after 3 weeks of usage :-D Never switch my notebook off and just putting it to sleep all the time since the day of upgrade to test the stability of it. And so far it's working just FINE. Will let see if I can pass the 1 month of my so-called 'burn-in' period XD

to be honest guy, i have used 3 type of RAM
1. Apple fitted 4GB
2. Kingston KTA 8GB
3. Kingston KVR 4GB

i do feel that KVR isn't as smooth as Apple fitted 4GB, weirdo feeling, dunno why

as i mentioned above, placebo effect.

using kta on my 2010 mbp and kvrs on my 2011 mbp, i personally "feel" that too :p

ditto. just be sure to always back your stuff up. cause while ssds are better in almost every aspect (except for the price that is) they are known to crap out without any notice.
