QUOTE(ric0225 @ Mar 26 2010, 10:33 AM) Good Morning... I'm trying to upgrade the RAM on my Power Mac G4 (1.25GHz)... It currently has 1Gb in with 2 empty slots remaining. How much more can I get and what's your recommendation on the brands. Checked on the net and it says DDR333 / PC2700 RAM, is that correct. Can I just go to Low Yat and get any RAM with that configuration?? Appreciate your help... Thanks. Same like mine, now my RAM is 1.5GB. I'm using Kingston KTA. Got it from some forumner selling at garage sales. Very cheap. Try the link below and contact him. http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/948679

QUOTE(mememe12 @ Apr 28 2010, 02:45 AM) when mac failed to connect to any of the PC in the network, is there a way to restart the ethernet driver or refresh the network stuff instead of restarting the mac? Relaunch Finder.

QUOTE(tarvalslain87 @ Apr 30 2010, 11:37 PM) The person who spoke to me definitely sound like a westerner but not sure which country is he from Some of the problem that Apple Malaysia can't decide, they will pass it to Apple Enterprise, which could be at USA. I was put to the American due to the RAID battery replacement.

QUOTE(Eithanius @ May 26 2010, 11:41 AM) I did... And it will not void your ACPP warranty, unless under certain circumstances, which I think it's best for brother wei to explain... I bought mine from Kingston and OWC... Btw, if you happen to have MacPro1,1 or 2,1 running DDR2-667 FB-DIMM, let me know, I have those 1GB modules (4 of them), wanna sell them off cheap... http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1109079&hl=I see..If Kingston there's a seller local, but the max RAM module is only 2GB, no 4GB..

QUOTE(wei @ May 27 2010, 10:38 PM) Get the DVD that say "Mac OS X Installation" that came with your Mac. Or retail Snow Leopard disc. Put in and boot from it. Once you selected language. The go to the Utilities menu choose Disk Utility and do a Repair on your hard drive. Sometimes I miss the Norton Utilities which previously i used at the era of MacOS 9. Is it still exist now?

QUOTE(Masamune @ Jul 15 2010, 03:12 PM) Hey my macbook alu (late 2008) battery shows service battery. I called apple support and they say confirmed that my battery is faulty based on the cycles etc. They asked me to send to a service provider. Anyway my question is i can just send it to Machines right even though i got mine from Mac City cause Machines is listed as a service provider where else Mac City is not. Anyway this is my battery info. Better go to VR Technology..as 2 months ago I did call MAchine to send my mac, they says the queue over there is too long..anyway do ur macbook came with applecare?

QUOTE(Masamune @ Jul 15 2010, 04:15 PM) Yes, i have ACPP. Alright guess i'll drop by Machines at Sunway. I hope they just take the battery instead of my whole laptop lol.. If you have AppleCare it's much better for you to call AppleCare..they will arrange door pick-up service.

Yesterday I did called Apple Care due to my mighty mouse scrool down doesn't work.. Then They teach a technique to rub the scroll ball on the paper, while the mouse bottom facing up..and it works !! So next time if you have problem with the scrool ball just apply this method.., and wei can u update this at the 1st page? Added on July 20, 2010, 5:20 pmQUOTE(Masamune @ Jul 20 2010, 04:47 AM) I decided to send to Machines instead of calling Apple Care. I thought it would take a shorter time this way instea of having to arrange for pickup etc..I'll give a call to Machines and demand they not clear my drive then. Or not I prefer to take it back and at least backup first. But for me the best ASP is still VR Tech..so far has no 'side effect' problems when dealing with them. QUOTE(Eithanius @ Jul 20 2010, 05:22 PM) Normally I would recommend this providing the warranty does not cover, but if it's still covered, just send it in for a replacement... Yeah..was thinking of that..maybe next time if happens again within the warranty period then I'll take ur advice Added on July 20, 2010, 6:36 pmPoint taken nomrod323. QUOTE(sonyx @ Mar 5 2011, 01:26 AM) i bought it 2nd hand without the driver CD (owner lost it)..thanks for the info xaw5126 Actually you don't need the driver cd, cause latest MacOS will always bundled with older models driver. Fresh install of Snow Leopard, and the necessary driver will be installed together

Need to ask 2 questions, regarding Mac Pro: 1) Is it normal when start the fan will blow fast? Coz recently happens the fan speed is fluctuating while waiting for the chime sound. 2) How many times actually RAID card discharging and recharging it's battery..coz my system keep doing it unless i clear the process..
