1) But now the fan speed is fluctuating..sometimes too fast suddently slow, then fast again..like revving an engine while waiting for chimes sound coming.

1) Run the AHT yesterday. No error found, but after rebooting one of the HDD kong, and the worst part is it's my precious database HDD B-tree root error huhu..last time in MacOS 9 i can salvage this problem with Norton Utilities, but nowdays how to to this?
2) Yup, RAID card form Apple.

1)Anyway yesterday manage to backup the corrupted HDD using DiskWarrior..lucky my precious data is all in order..
2)Actually did change the battery last year, claimed under Apple Care. But now i notice if running more than 1 HDD the fan is having that crazy problem, and the new HDD i brought not detected at Bay 2. But the old HDD that was installed before at Bay 2 can be detected. So confuse now

The new HDD i brough can be detected at all bay except Bay 2. Nevermind I will refer this to AppleCare..if not resolve then later will claim warranty repair at VR Tech..

Anyway how do you get the RocketRAID card? How much it cost and is it PnP?

Anyone over here ever use Lightscribe writer on Mac? I've tried it but the Lightscribe device can't be detected, but strangely for normal DVD-RW function is working. Downloading the driver from Lightscribe.com is a frustruating cause the installer can't work..

Just updating the cause of the matters. Apple said it's due to cable leakage so they replaced it with new SATA cable.

Anyone over here ever do RAID for Mac Pro? What's the best type of RAID for video editing and 3D rendering, as I'm not much to games..

I've tried to dismantle the Apple's RAID card this afternoon, to find out that my Mac Pro can't detect all hard drive. I realize there is a cable attached to the RAID. Is that the SATA cable to all Hdd? And how to connect back to it's own I/O port?

I already google it and found out all SATA & SAS cable are using iPass cables for connection. I need to connect back the iPass cable to the mobo for it to works back without the Apple RAID card. However since the 'dismantling and reinstate' process i did last weekend, seems like everything is stable for time being and no more 'turn off warning' appeared. Will monitor this situation for other few weeks for me to decide to dismantle the card or not.
