when u delete a file on a thumbdrive (or any external drive), it gets 'moved' to the thumbdrive's own 'Trash' (not ur computer's). so after u delete, juz empty ur trash to get back the space

you can claim at any apple service centre in the world. ur macbook will come with a 1 year international warranty

when u boot up the new mac later, u'll arrive at a screen where it asks if u want to restore from a time machine backup

so at this point, juz connect the time machine drive, select it, n proceed it'll copy ur stuff from TM to ur new mac. obviously this takes a really long time lah, depends on how much data u have in ur TM drive

macs uses standard ddr3 rams, so any pc shop should have them. unless u're asking about mac pro lah

is it only hang when u use firefox? how's the performance when firefox is not running?

open activity monitor
- how's ur CPU load? always very high? if yes, what app is using the most?
- under Memory tab, about how much is ur Page In and Page out? with and without firefox running
- storage, how many % free space? are there any spikes in the graph even though u're not doing anything?

buying the adapter would be quite expensive. maybe u can try ask around for anyone who has it (doesnt have to be apple branded). i can let u borrow mine but im in miri lol. also we still dunno if it's ur logic board problem or just LCD problem. best case, maybe just the LCD connector loose/dirty. u can go to ifixit.com and look up how to reconnect it.

if u can use an external monitor, meaning it's just ur LCD problem and repairing shud be less than 1k. but TBH im leaning towards faulty LCD lah, cuz if faulty logic board normally dont even have the boot chime.

as far as i know, ur battery health needs to be under 80% within a certain number of cycles... mine (mbp 15" unibody 2008) was 500 cycles, not sure what it is for your macbook. also, i have ACPP

nonetheless just give applecare a call and see what can they do for you. you will need to leave ur macbook with one of the service centres, possibly for a few weeks.
