not a fan of sony as most of my spoiled products come from them. i'll vote sharp !

i agree with MR-X, currently i'm using Sony X40 + sony ps3, t Quality come out is Excellent man. If u using a full set of sony stuff, t quality come will be damm good, last time i use other brand like samsung, sharp & lg. But if using for Gaming..........i will so so nia....

if u want to compare t quality, ps dont use those slow motion movie which always display. Use some action movie then compare it 1 by 1. u will c t diffrent....

note to tell u currently sony price already go down. Note if u go 4 Quality $$ of coz will give more ya......

Sony!!! But I think Sony and Sharp having a joint venture in LCD panel production. Soon all Sony and Sharp LCD panels should be the same.

As far as I knew, Sony and Samsung are getting its panel from the same source. As for Sharp JV with Sony, it is not entirely a JV. it was in Feb 2008 that Sony intends to source from Sharp since Sharp would have the largest LCD panel factory in 2010 (not sure whether it is being put on hold due to the economy crisis). But the supply to Sony would only starts in April 2009. This means those models that are already in the market are not those from Sharp.

For me tonite, I got bad experience with this HLK..

1st shop, the one at Seksyen 7 Bandar Baru.. after 30 minits of negoing from the price tag.. finally they offered me rm2890 with 1 free gift. Stand Fan & after negoing again, they willing to change to HDMI cable. The price tag of cable, rm199. I pay deposit for rm50 & will be coming tomorrow to pay the balance.

Due to rain, I decided to go to another HLK shop at Seksyen 4, which is just 5 minit drive. There, I asked the salesman for the bet price they can give for the same model. Without any hard negotiation, the best they can give is for rm2650 !!! What the hack is going on here ?? I'm being con !! rm2650 + rm199 hdmi cable = rm2849 ...

Why the 1 st shop rob me for another rm41 ???

For Ekit case he getting 5 years warranty with rm2860.. Congrates for the good buy Ekit.

So, guys please don't go to this two shop in Bandar Baru Bangi... If I refer this posting 1st, for sure I go straight to Balakong...

Well, maybe I should pay just for the HDMI cable & cancel the A66M ..

By the way, can i know which brand of HDMI cable that you bought? and how's the performance? cause i'm now having trouble to decide which brand and price range of cable that i should buy, you know...there's so many argue on expensive and cheap HDMI cable performance....

Actually there are reasons why Sharp is not too popular here or elsewhere. Sharp never really fixed the banding and clouding issues. They also had initial problems with backlight bleeding. There is also talk that their white balance adjustments in the service menu is flawed. Grayscale (white balance) is the basic need for any decent HDTV. I believe the higher end models perform better. IMHO Sharp needs to fix these problems before moving on. Black levels are better on a Sony W series or Samsung 650 series and above. I might be wrong and they might have fixed these problems but the last I checked they still had banding issues that was not fixed. The white balance adjustments are real put off for me.

On the matter of size, bigger is always better in this case. You will always wish you bought a bigger set.

Hi... sory, forgot what brand it is. But, packaging like the one in Jalan Pasar. Thinking of canceling the order & get refund or bought something else. If they can reduce to rm2650, maybe will take it.

May I know yr Salesman name at HLK Balakong.. So, easy I can refer them to him/her.

but he is very easy to recognize, a young guy, short, chinese and the only "young" chinese in the shop.

This is to hafez .. pity you .. but you should do a survey first before you put/pay any deposit to anything .. I do know about this shop coz I live in seksyen 3 bandar baru bangi .. I did once go to this HLK seksyen 4 and found that the price there were much more expensive then seng heng just 3 shops next to it .. but then that is my experience .. try senq in mines shopping mall .. it is much better place / cheaper to shop for lcd tv

you also should cancel the purchase immediately after you find out about the price different .. that is my 2 cent

I went back to the shop at Seksyen 7 yesterday night... the salesman that attended me yesterday was on leave & nobody know that I had came yesterday.. at that point of time, there were 1 couple, also asking about the same model.. I asked them, what price that they were offered... then came one salesman (not around yesterday) and I asked him, the best price he can give me for that model..

With free S-video cable, he offered me for rm2799... then, I ask if without any free give & payment with cash / credit card.. Surprisingly, he offered me for using credit card… for rm2,647-00 & asked me to direct confirm. Even cheaper of rm3 from Ekit… He already very eager to enter the sale into the PC. I asked him to wait, went to my car and get the yesterday receipt & show it to him. As he promised earlier, I insisted on the price he offered me. He became very surprised & went straight to his supervisor, which was around a day before.

I gave some angry face & loud voice, arguing why the hell the other shop can give rm2650 & they cannot!! Even, the other shop is under the same boss. If not mistaken, at that point of time, the boss was also present at the shop. Takut boss!!

Finally, the salesman agreed, the different of price due to the “free HDMI cable”… hahaha betul la tuu… He reprints my deposit receipt & omits the so call free HDMI cable. As I promised earlier to the salesman, I paid the full amount. As confirm today, delivery will not later then this Friday.

I checked at Best Denki in Sogo & Times Square, they still don’t have this 66series. Checked at SengHeng Seksyen 9 BBBangi, they also cannot give the above price. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to go to Mines. Some more, will incur fuel & parking charges. Thanks again guys, for the support .

because i got mine for RM2860,5 years warranty, free gift is an iron and an optical cable...

You are correct Bro.Sharp have banding issue as i encountered on my 1st lcd tv.Lucky i managed to get rid off and get Plasma

RM2647 without Cable/Fan/Iron free gift.. only get the towel (item no 3 on my receipt).

good on you hafez .. nowdays you need to be a good buyer/customer .. sometimes a simple purchase without you knowing .. you been cheated .. please be careful before buying anything .. if the word free/cheap/great bargain/interest free/no interest .. pop out from the sales person mouth .. start to be curious .. anyway thats my two cents
